How to skip the grind:
How to skip grind:

Instantly get 8000P, skip the grind and go straight to hunting agents. Recommended especially for a second new save file fleets to have less BS to get into the real fun.

Do this:

  • 1. Go to
    C:\Steam\userdata\75423648\329130\remote\data\save0
    OR
    C:\Users\[YOU]\Saved Games\Reassembly\data\save0
  • 2. Open the save.lua file in this folder
  • 3. Find the 7th line that says "points=300,". Change it to "points=8000,".
Also change "credits=100," to "credits=90000,", while you're here.
  • 4. Save file and load the game.

NOTE: Before doing this with a new fleet, do the tutorial first, because some tutorial messages won't go away otherwise.

NOTE2: Its a singleplayer game and grinding is bad game design, so doing this is legit in my books.

NOTE3: For the steam userdata save directory, you may have different numbers than mine. While I have C:\Steam\userdata\75423648\329130\, the two last folders may have different numbers. Use trial and error until you find the one that has the save folders and lua files inside them.

if you are dsp or someone of similar iq, here's how you find save0:
1: click on "This Computer" in File Explorer
2: Type "save0" in the search bar.

For the people who don't have enough brain cells to find save0:

1: click on "This Computer" in File Explorer
2: Type "save0" in the search bar.

It's LITERALLY that simple.

Also, you have to open the save.lua file with a good notepad type editing program, such an notepad ++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.7.4.html)

Don't listen to the idiots in the comments. Theres no point grinding for each faction. C and P should be global.

Or people have different opinions about what is fun. I feel that so long as the developer is okay with this kind of save edit then nobody should judge someone who wants to skip the grindy part. I personally don't feel like it's grindy and have a lot of fun building up my R/C/P but not everybody is the same so I can appreciate a simple useful guide like this.
