If you are reading this guide , like me ,you propably saw the description of the achievement in question and your reaction was along the lines of " Throw the bag at a distance of 20 meters ?! I can barely throw it 3 meters let alone 20. What is this madness ! ". Fear not, for by following my instructions your sparkling new achievement will be siting in your achievement library in no time.

Before we move to the actual guide on how to get this achievement let me explain how the methods im going to share with you work, and how the actual description of the achievement is quite misleading.

So to start with, you are being lied to when you read the description of the achievement. It says you have to throw the bag from a distance of 20 meters, but what it really means is that the bag of treasure must travel a distance of at least 20 meters to reach S.T.E.V.E. I came to this conclusion after someone making a comment on how he got the achievement by having the bag tossed when S.T.E.V.E. was making a 90 degree turn and having the bag track him for 20 meters before it finally went into him. The way I got the achievement also didnt have me be 20 meters away from S.T.E.V.E. so I concluded that the achievement must track the distance the bag of treasure travels and not the distance the bag of treasure is tossed from.

So in order to get this achievement with the most relative ease there can be ,you have to have the minimal distance from S.T.E.V.E. possible that at the same time allows for the maximum travel distance the treasure bag can travel. 2 ways where suggested to me that met these criteria as shown in the picture below:

The first method has you look at the furthest point of the wall that has attached onto it the Safe that S.T.E.V.E. is going to be cracking along his route, and then toss the bag while looking at that point. Using this way the bag will travel 2 straight lines, 1 towards the wall and 1 downwards the wall. You can see that the distance of the diver ( presented by the dotted line) is vastly smaller than the distance that the bag of treasure will travel. That of corse is due to one of the laws of triangles in Geometry, that a + b > c , where a, b, c the sides of the triangle (Here a and b are the lines the bag of treasure will travel and c the distance of the diver from S.T.E.V.E.)

The second method has you get a relatively far distance from S.T.E.V.E., look directly at him, raise your crosshair at a 40 degree angle from that point, dash and then release the bag of treasure. This way as shown in the picture the bag will get a curved trajectory, that if one was to strech out would be longer than the actual distance the diver had when he tossed the bag to S.T.E.V.E.

METHOD A

So Method A is most easily done on the map named Fractured. Right after your protective cage opens follow S.T.E.V.E. until he reaches the first safe of the map.

Around this area will be plenty of grabable loot. All you need is to get 1 piece.

Now using SPACE ascend as high as possible at a point similar to that shown in the picture below.

Now look directly at the wall and press Q to toss the bag.








METHOD B

Method B can be done on any map, but is considerably more difficult to pull off. Firstly you need to get relatively far from S.T.E.V.E., but not so far so that the bag wont reach him, and place your crosshair directly at him.


Now from that point raise your crosshair at an angle of about 40 degrees.


Now dash towards S.T.E.V.E. using SHIFT without moving your crosshair and toss the bag of treasure to S.T.E.V.E. with Q.
