I would upvote this guide, but I didn't get the game through steam, and I got the director's cut, also. It worked for me and now I can use the overlay, instead of having to tab out. Thank you very much!

Look, I had made this step by step and such, but there was still another error. I tried several times until it occurred to me to do the following, I think it will serve for many people also, you guys can do this step by step normally. If the case of such an application error appears and such, you guys can this putting -dontForceMinReqs on the game's startup settings, right here by steam. You right in the game, will open a window, ai vc click settings, will open another window, the first tab even have it (set boot options), there is so -dontForceMinReqs necklace and ready, start the game normally . Here it worked ...I hope this helps

Olha só, eu tinha feito esse passo a passo e tal, mas ainda dava o outro erro. Tentei varias vezes até que me ocorreu de fazer o seguinte, acho que vai servir pra muita gente tamb, vcs podem fazer esse passo a passo normalmente. Se caso de o tal erro de aplicação aparecer e tal, vcs pode esta colocando o -dontForceMinReqs na parte de configurações de inicialização do jogo, aqui mesmo pela steam. Clica com o direito no jogo, vai abrir uma janela, ai vc clica em configurações, vai abrir outra janela, na primeira aba mesmo, tem la (definir opções de inicialização), ai é so colar –dontForceMinReqs e pronto, inicie o jogo normalmente. Aqui funcionou...Espero ter ajudado

Better Fix....Right click Game on Steam list and go to Properties then Go to Set launch Options and add -dontForceMinReqs in Box.....Done and Done..no need to make shortcuts and stuff.
