Introduction
Need money for a new car? This guide will show you how to go from 0 to 1 million + in a few hours of gametime.

This guide is a compact re-write of The Crew Guide – How to make money in The Crew[www.gameplayinside.com] and is meant as an in-game reference.

*Note*: Earnings per hour are based on time SPEND in-game doing these "grinding" activities.
Landmarks $120.000 / hour
Landmarks can be found throughout the world of The Crew. Each time you “visit” such a landmark (by pressing enter) you will receive $2000 and 50 XP.

You can easily "grind" landmarks bij using fast-travel. For that you will first need to know where the landmarks are located.

Step 1: Unlock a data station
Step 2: Use the Exploration filter on your map
Step 3: Fast travel to each landmark

Sending your friends on faction missions - $1.92 Million per hour spend / $53.333 per hour realtime
Faction missions?
Once you hit level 10 and equip your dirt spec you unlock the ability to join a faction. This also unlocks faction missions. These missions will have a very high cash reward but will take a lot of time.

Send your friends
Now obviously we are not gonna do that. Instead we will use the “Send friends” option which let's your friends virutally race for you.

For a more detailed description please refer to The Crew Guide – How to make money in The Crew[www.gameplayinside.com].
  • Step 1: Find a faction mission on your map
  • Step 2: click on send Friends
  • Step 3: Add friends
  • Step 4: launch missions
  • Step 5 be patient
  • Step 6 Collect reward

Summary
All missions with a high payout take 3 hours to complete. By spending 5 minutes sending your friends on 10 of these missions you will earn 10x$12.000. Note that this value increases the more you do this. Currently I am on $16.000 per race.

If you are avaiable during the day then you can do this 3-4 times a day meaning your income is 4 * 10 faction missions * 16.000 = $640.000 per day.
Additional sources of income

  • The Crew PvP - $96.000/hour

@Mike I thought about doing that, but I didn't want ot buy more perks at 100k bucks each for an eventual 10% kickback of 8k. Seems like it would take too long to be a profit again

Kamehameleon, use perk for bonus B.
That mission gives me over 7.5K and with maxed out car you will get over 8k per 30sec, in counting on wait times.

And in the time since my last post (approx. 22 mins), I have now maxed out my Police GTR using this method (1497) and gotten ~$160,000.
(For anyone interested, all you have to do is deploy an emp as soon as he's in range, which will send him into the left guardrail or the trees on the right, then a speedhack when you're alongside him, and boom, busted)

With Calling All Units, once you get a Perf Police car (GT-R is cheapest), you can do the Early Check-Out mission and rank it in quick. $6900 per bust, usually takes ~15-20 seconds to bring them down. It's rediculous

Thanks for the tips!

a tip is to go to the salt flats and drift a lot

Here's a tip, I farm the white mountain loop, takes aprox. 3:15 to complete it. It's a faction mission that gives 8800, per race. Doing this for an hourI gain atleast 160K+ It's easy, hardly varies with traffic since there is no traffic at all and I have over 9Mil atm, with all cars and specs, paints, and rims.

Ok I realize my calculation methods might have been confusing (or even misleading) to some of you. The logic used here was efficieny per hour spend playing The Crew. This is a different point of view as opposed to calculating how much money you get in 3 hours and then deviding this by 3 hours.

Personally I like to know how I can earn as much money by spending the least amount of time on "grinding". Therefore while my "friends" are away on the faction missions I simply close my game and do somethign else.

I have updated the headings to include a "realtime" and an time spend value.

Income: 10 missions * 16.000 = 160.000
Real time: 160.000 / 3 hours = 53.333 per hour
Time spend: 160.000 / 5 minutes * 60 minutes = 1.929.000 per hour

160k every 3 hours here.

While the advice on how to make money is correct, the amounts are way off.

The tagline for your guide says $1m in one hour of play time - not true unless you only count logging in for 5 mins every 3 hours to collect faction mission cash and resetting them - not exactly playing.

Earning 864k per hour from faction missions - also not true.

At L50 the most I can do is 10 missions at once earning 16k each every 3 hours. It's realistic to get 3-4 of these done per day, but that's still only 480-640k.

To get the full amount for a faction mission you need to do it, but you can only do one at once, and the largest bucks values can also take over an hour to complete.
