there arent many code characters to unlock but they are still fun to use. or you just want acheivements. there are 4 characters to unlock with codes but you can only get 3 without use of a controller


WHERE TO UNLOCK
you unlock these characters on the character select screen. this will not work on the character select in the pause menu though so if you choose a different character, you can only get back your code character with a clone. THERES ONLY TWO CLONES.

TO UNLOCK BROWNIE
you need a controller. simply enter the mapping (i heard RB RB B B B X) and you will hear "PUSH THE BUTTONS". this is an indicator to see if you got the character. choose meat boy and you will be playing as brownie

TO UNLOCK GOOBALL
you need a key board. you pc should have one other wise you suck. type ballgoo (gooball backwards) to play as gooball. there is a character called headcrab (unlocked at 10 bandages unlocked) that plays the same as gooball exept he jumps lower.

TO UNLOCK TOFU BOY (and an acheivement!)
type PETAPHILLIE and choose meat boy to play as tofu boy. you will also unlock an acheivement called (well look at you!). buuut...

TO UNLOCK TIM
type outtatime. unlike every other code character, you wont hear push the buttons as an indicator for tim so you need to hope for the best.

GOOBALL can cling to walls and celings. i have not been ablle to get gooball to stick to celings and he wont stick to anything if your not running.gooballs clone, headcrab unlocked at 10 bandages does the same thing, clings to celings better, and has a lower jump


BROWNIE is a clone of meat boy. he controles exactly like meat boy. exept he leaves behind poop instead of meat residue. and as you run, occasionally blood will come out of him.


TOFU BOY is just plain awful. he jumps a height of 2 blocks, and is slow. however on levels designed for him #supermeatworld #tofuremixD: he is AWESOME


TIM cant run but can turn back time. as you turn back time your invincible so you can skip hazards in scrolling levels and (although hard) can save your self from death.

Code characters (only on steam) do not appear on character select after typing the code. so if you unlock gooball, and exit the level, you wont have him anymore unless you type BALLGOO again.
you also cant get code characters in the character select in the pause menu
