Welcome to another one of my achivement guides.
This more teamwork than RNG, but it's one people seem to ask about.
It's not that hard, but it requires teamwork. So a visit to Crews and Clans is a must if you don't have 3 friends.
How to do it
First off you need to trigger the Overpass escape.
Easiest way is just to blow up the lab on Rats day 1, but it can be done on Rats day 2, Framing Frame day 2, Nightclub, Transport Harbor and Park.

The achivement will trigger when the escape arrives, so there's no need to keep defending afterwards. Also if you spawn on the bridge, you'll have to restart since there are already cops on the bridge. Also it's best to do this on Normal, so specials don't spawn. It's do-able on higher difficulties, but you're likey to get a Cloaker just sneak on to the bridge. It works best with a full team, but it's not a must. I prefer to have a full team, because cops love to move up while I'm reloading.

Back on topic, the method is very very simple.
Put 2 people on each end of the bridge. The cops spawn at the end of the road and all you have to do is tower defence. When I did it one person was on the ground with a CAR-4 (but any high ammo assualt rifle will do) and the other was standing on a car with a R93 (any sniper rifle will work). Someone was going to set trip mines but we forgot and it didn't really make too much difference.

A bus can spawn on the bridge, but it's kinda in a useless spot for this. If you could jump on it, it would help, but not by much. The best thing to do is cover your side of the bridge. Work out who is where before attempting it, there's not much time to get set up before the spawns start. I did mention trip mines, if you have someone covering you, you can set some up but it's just easier to bring ammo and go to town. Personally I went for an assault rifle over a LMG just for the accuracy and quicker reload, but go ahead and use a LMG if you really want to.
Summing up.
Yeah, I ment to write this when I made my other short guides, but I kinda forgot.

Still this achivement is not very hard, but could get annoying if you keep having to re-do it. We had come straight from doing some Loud DW so this was like shooting fish in a barrel. It's one of those achivements that alot of newbies have no clue how on earth to get it.

It kind of does and debating that won't change anything.
Shields are rare yes, but they do spawn and wreck sentries. Also about the reloading, after awhile you will run out of ammo and one side will get more cops than the other and there will be no way to reload the guns or defend that side.

Yes your way works, but so does mine.

You can meet shields very rarely on normal. Skill points is not a problem - everybody gets enough after some playing (or you needed this achievement done at level 0?). And there's also a skill to reload sentries. This does not depend on luck or skill.

You can do that too, but not everyone has enough points for sentries or you could have the terribad luck of them either running out of ammo or getting a shield spawn and break it.
Well done you for getting it solo, but not everyone has the luck/skill to pull it off.

I haven't done a proper test, but just to be safe I counted the whole area. But I'm fairly sure it's just the bridge itself (ie the part spanning the gap).
There are no spawns near the bridge area anyway so you just have to keep on top of the waves. All the spawns come from the otherside or underneath the bridge so it's not hard defending that little bit more.
