Platform 8820 (Exploration Find)

Description
Not my creation/design. Found during exploration.

My Modified Version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=387254650
The Station in a "world" by itself: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=396529170

This base is called the "Vangelis Frigate Base". This is the "original" version as it would spawn into your world during exploration mode (sans the Asteroid - go to the "The Station in a "world" by itself" version for the complete base with asteroid).

Space Station found during "Exploration" Mode. Boasts the rather default name of "Platform 8820" (this might be named differently for different players, not sure). It spawned a good 325km along the -Z axis.

As with all stations-built-into-asteroids, blueprinting a copy does not capture the asteroid part of the station. It appears to use the stock "Taurus" asteroid (the one that is large, flat and discus with a large hole in the center). The asteroid contains a good supply of Uranium ore as well as representative amounts of ALL the other types of ore making this a nice "mining station" with hangars ready for your rill and cargo craft.

Very basic in design, however, it does feature the clever "Doors-On-Their-Sides-As Cool-Windows" technique.

Has two nicely-lit, horizontally-parallel landing pads adequate for most small ships wishing to land. It has a vertical wall with the number "04" on it that could also be used to land a ship. It also has a large base that extends through the entire asteroid (through tunnels) with a large area to land where the asteroid has a large hole. It has a nice station bridge and habitat area with some internal stairs, but no stairs connecting the landing area and the bridge. There is a tunnel network, but I have yet to explore it to see if there are any "interior areas" with station flooring.

Has:
-2 Small Reactors, no uranium (so B.Y.O.U. lol) - the asteroid does have ALL ore types
-3 Flight/Control Seats
-4 Antennas, 1 Beacon
-Lots of Doors-as-Windows and Interior Lights
-100% Light Armor Construction

Thoughts:
-Makes me wonder if these might be KSWH built "stock stations" and their might be a "01", "02" & "03" version, etc. (DEBUNKED)
-Great as a starter asteroid station base (original here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=235465657 )

Things That I Might Do and Save to My Altered Version (or will have done by the time you read this):
-DONE: Make this station an outpost base since it is a good 325k away from the world's origin (it was randomly spawned, ofc)
-DONE: Keybound all the windows to open/close so as to create "blast windows"
-DONE: Created keybindings for "All Lights", "All Reactors" and "Gravity"
-DONE: Renamed the Antenn "Platform 8820 (EF)" ("EF" for "Exploration Find") and bosted range to 50km
-DONE: Depowered the 3 extra cosmetic Antenna and Beacon
-DONE: Copied in some of the small-ship "exploration finds" and landed them appropriately on the landing pads
-DONE: Added catwalks to interconnect the main platform, raised landing pad and the bridge

Both of these provide temporary solar power to the station:
-DONE: Docked my AES (Armored Explorer Scout/Ship) - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/browse/?appid=244850&requiredtags%5B%5D=blueprint
-DONE: Docked my ERP-LP (Exploration Relay Probe - Launch Pad) - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=381807622&searchtext=erp

To Do:
-Add auto-alligning-solar-array and de-power the reactors making the station self-sustaining
-Swap out heavy armor for light armor where thruster damage is likely to ocur (i.e. landing pads)
-Add a refinery, assmbler, converyor system, et. al.
-Keybind/Separate-out the landing lights for each landing pad

@Lexon: It is something the devs added roughly a month ago. Basically when you set up a new world to play in there are 3 more options in the field where you select the number of asteroids (4, 7 or 16), BUT in addition to that you can now select "infinite space" and chose the density of procedurally generated asteroids. The neat thing about exploration mode is that their are ships and stations submitted vy the devs and the community that can be found. Not an easy task unless you're using Midspace's "/scan" Mod, but still doable if you like challenges.

It happen that I suscribed to that world, because I too enjoyed the shape of that station :

Yet, your seems to be "updated" to meet the recent updates. I'll give it a try :)
