i changed one line of code to this:
<MinFov>0.0005</MinFov>
(idk if max fov was at 1.8. if it wasnt, thats on me as well)
and it works beautifully. Definitely need to make it compatible with Camera Panning (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=806331071) , because at the higher zooms, while it does still work, gets a bit touchy using the gyros to look with the whole ship.
But being able to see if a base is defended, and if so by what, from 1 km or more away is AWESOME, and if i ever actually make a proper mobile artillery platform, will be necessary
In vanilla when you zoom in the skybox gets huge and blurry, but in real life the stars are so far they don't change (like infinite focus length in a camera).
it's an undiscovered feature
Though to be fair as far as I know there are no indications of that in controls.
My bad!
