Chapter 1: I'm Stranded in the Pacific, Now what?
I suggest you read this before-hand, it's gonna be a long trip.

Congratulations, You have done something many Schrute's desire! The Pacific is full of thousands of opportunities. Better yet, It's full of millions of Hazards, Dangers, Threats, and Pitfalls! I know how to survive in a vast number of ecosystems and scenarios, but I'm going to pass these techniques down to you. Let's get started.
Press F. You will see 3 Vitals. Your Health, Food, and Water.

Colored Map

You are there! Try to find yourself. Just don't go there, doesn't have anything to do with my islands!

The Pacific is made up of Multiple Archipelagoes in those Archipelagoes there are Islets. You should be on an Islet now! Now, Please Note, Before you hop off your Watercraft/Aircraft into the Water, You should scout the area out first for some Hazards! You and I both know that you wouldn't want to Break a leg in the first 5 Minutes of your new quest! When you are ready, hop off of the Craft and swim onto the Islet. Don't "Park" your Raft onto the Island. Be polite and let her breathe! A real man would never choke his vessel.
On the Left, A standard issue Revere Aero Life Raft, and on the right, a Strong Wooden Raft

Now, Hop off of your Watercraft and swim to shore! Beware my friend...
Sea Urchins lurk in the shallow waters, touch one of it's Spines and you'll feel instant pain.
But that won't stop us, will it? Give those buggers to the Japanese! No offense! Onwards!

You made it. You're on the Island, But...Now what do you do? You're an Idiot if you don't know what to do.
Chapter 2: We wouldn't be where we are now without...
Contrivances! Tools! Gadgets! Devices! Whatever you call them, You will need them.
The first thing you will need to do, is scavenge like a Vulture. Look for 2 Things. Wood and Rocks.
While you're at it, flip out your pocket knife. It's a crude one, Yes, But you Should Survive with it for now. Pile up your Sticks and Stones together in a Neat pile. Make sure you got all of them. Don't touch the trees yet. Search the Islet for the Yucca plant.

The Yucca is a shrub that will provide you a much needed resource. Lashings.
You will recieve 2 lashings within harvesting a Yucca. Now, Place One Stick, One lashing, and One Rock together. Tie the Lashing around the rock onto the stick, make sure it's strong. Take a few practice swings, fight the air!

Now put it to use. You should see Multiple Arecaceae or the common "Palm Tree".

With your Axe take 10 Swings at the Palm tree. If you've done so, Good job! That's called Logging. Now take 10 more swings at the defeated tree. It should become a Log, Now 10 More.
You will recieve 4 Sticks. Collect all the sticks and create another pile or continue with your previous showcase.

It should be about Midday. You might be getting hungry. Carefully climb up a Palm Tree, Get a good grip with your feet and slide up such as a Caterpillar. You will see various Fruits. Those Hairy Fruits are called Cocoanuts or simply, Coconuts. They aren't Nuts, however, They are Drupes. Take your axe and a Coconut, Now Smash the coconut as hard as you can. 1 Hit will make it drinkable. Pick it up and drink it's milk. Once Completed, Drop it and Crack it open completely. You will see 2 Halves. Feel free to eat them when you would favor. Now, Stop snacking on fruits! It's getting late and you should start to build a shelter. You should have harvested every last bit of those Palm trees, Trunks and Palms. Take 1 Stick, 2 Rocks, and 1 Lashing. You will make yourself a hammer! Not an axe. Hammer!
Now you have a Crude Axe, and a Crude Hammer. You probably saw a Shipwreck or two, if you haven't already, Explore it. If you see Bubbles over the water, that means that there is a sunken Ship under them. Swim down to them! In Shipwrecks you can find Lockers, Cabinets, and Toolboxes. In them, You can find:
    Lockers
  • Flares and Flare Guns
  • Pocket Knives
  • Beans
  • Flashlights
  • Duct Tape
  • Binoculars
  • Axe and Hammer(Not Crude)
  • Torch (Similar to Flashlight but Stronger)
  • Jerrycan
  • Machete
  • Paddle

In the Cabinets, You can find:
  • Medicine (Morphine, Bandages, Vitamins, and Antibiotics.)
  • Duct Tape
  • Water Bottles

Hard Cases, on the lid, you will notice a torn sticker with the Japanese Word, Fugu, Meaning Pufferfish and the Dish it is prepared for. Contents in them are:
  • Axe
  • Machete
  • Whistle
  • Compass
  • Flares and Flare Guns
  • Air Tanks
  • Duct Tape
Personally, I have found Diving Gear such as Goggles and Flippers, Currently they have no use.

Note, You can find Plane Wrecks under the Sea. They look American Engineered from World War 2, and were most likely downed by Imperial Forces of Japan. Along with 50+ Year old Technology in the deep, You can also find Naval Mines. Possibly Set by The American Navy.

Congratulations! Since you have Schrute approved tools, You can now start building Shelter.
Chapter 3: Home is where the Comfort is
Home. It's where we do things(Like your Mother). In order to build your own home. You will need a Foundation. In order to build a foundation, You will need your hammer (See Chapt. 2) and 8 Sticks. In order to build walls, doors, and rooves, You will need Supports. You just need 1 Stick to make a Support. A True Shelter requires a Roof and walls, So to make a Wall, You will need 4 Sticks and 2 Palm Fronds. To build a proper roof you will need 4 Supports, 4 Sticks, and 4 Palm Fronds.

Here I have sketched home designs on a small print. My Paint skills are far superior to yours.

I use the Tetris one, The reason why it's first in-line is because it was the first one that popped up in my head.
I would only recommend the Outhouse if you're extremely short on supplies.

A House isn't a House without a Nice comfy bed! In order to make a nice bed, You will need 6 Sticks, 4 Lashings, and 4 Palm Fronds. You can only sleep on beds during 18:00 and 6:00 (Mil-Time). Doing so will cost 1-4 Hunger and 1-2 Thirst. Making you fairly hungry but not too thirsty.

You have a House and a Warm-ish bed. What's next? A Door and Steps. You can make a door with 2 Lashings, 4 Sticks, and 2 Palm Fronds. Now you need something to assist you to get up your house after a long day of things. To make Steps you need 5 Sticks and 6 Lashings.

Let's see...A House, a Bed, Steps, and a Door.

Fire! We need Fire. To make a Campfire you will need a Simple-Enough 5 Sticks.

Examples to live by

Use your Trusty Zippo to set it on fire. Some Advice, Lightly blow on the campfire to make sure it's live and well. Keep a Spare set of Firewood 6-7 Feet away from it in case the fire dies out.

A Small campfire not good enough for you, is it? You wanna upgrade it, It's gonna cost you 8 Rocks. A Fire Pit. One last upgrade to it. 3 Sticks and 1 Lashing Makes you a Fire Spit. You can attach food to it and make it easier than placing meat on the fire itself. The Fire Spit Burns for 12 Hours Straight. Same with The Campfire and Fire Pit.

In order to use a fire correctly, You'll need something to Roast!
Chapter 4: The Sardine's Roasting on an Open Fire
In the Ocean, There are too many types of Fish. Scientists can barely count. In the Ocean, There are too many types of meals. I can barely count. Some Fish are Small and a few will take more than one man to finish. The Ocean contains a vast supply of Fish. They may not taste good, But every human being needs protein to survive. You can't always be munching on Coconuts, can you? Right?

First off, In order to Fish, You will need a Spear. Fishing with the Spear can improve many Fish sports like Bow fishing. In order to make a Spear (To Impale your Dinner) You will need 1 Rock Shard, 1 Stick, and 1 Lashing.

Here's some help on what fish that are edible and what Fish will give you Ciguatera.
Ciguatera is a type of Food Poisoning you can get from eating various Reef fish in the Pacific. Ciguatera can cause Headaches, Vomiting, Diarrhea, and Hallucinations.

However, While Fishing, You should be extremely cautious for other hazards.

Let's stop with the Pictures for a while. My hands hurting.

Crabs! An Animal easier to find and farm. Not too dangerous to get to them. A Nice Food Source. Not too big, not too small. Let's talk about Crabs. Crabs, are a type of Crustacean, Like a Lobster. What's the Difference between a Boy and a Girl? A Boy is Dark Red, and a Girl is Dark Green! Crabs will be near a Crab Nest. Like Anthills but with a larger opening. Crabs will be around those nests and babies will be born. So a practical infinite amount of Crabs. Except it's not. But it can be if you just control the portion you take.

Let's go back to the Sharks. The Great white isn't so bad as I made it sound. It can be peaceful. Sometimes. It helps to maintain eye contact , But it will be swimming under your raft for a while. When they do get mad, They get viscious. Untamable. That's the case with the Tiger Shark. Take some swings at them with the Machete and they'll be down in no time. They can swim fast, But that doesn't mean you couldn't get to them.

Marlins, They're tough. Right now if you kill one, it's just a waste. No use for them right now. They'll try to knock you out of your raft (See Sharks) and Prod you with their spears, They can do alot of damage. They're cowards too, if you hit them hard enough, they'll run from you.

Sharks, killing one, drag it to shore and butcher it. Not a hard job. Take out the intestines, take it's fin, fillet it twice, and take a few chunks from it. After that? Roast it. That's how it's done.

Take note! Lionfish will swim anywhere, except the shallow end, in the ocean! Reefs to deep end!

Eat a Sardine Raw, No Consequence! Same goes with Archerfish and Discus*
Chapter 5: It's dangerous to go alone! Take this.
Once you're starting to run out of supplies, you may want to start traveling to distant lands. While it may seem like an easy task, it can be bad if you get lost.

Your free, Schrute-Approved 32-Point Compass Rose

Alright, if you have a compass in game, perfect! Go to all 4 sides of your island and note the bearings. Those bearings will get you home safe(ish). Use your compass, and get the bearings to your destination. (Ex. 180-20) Although, you can take your home with you. Only take bare necessities. Compass, Axe/Machete, Water Bottle, Snack. Compass, Axe/Machete, Water Bottle, Snack.

Use your Watercraft to arrive safely at your destination. If Sharks/Marlins pester you, give them a stink-eye. If anything, that practically drives them away. They might come back, but you should be at the island before they gain the upper hand.

Once you're on the island, Look around for Shipwrecks and Bubbles. Once you clear out the Ships, do what you did before.

Scavenge.

Look for Rocks, and Sticks! Exact same thing you did when you started, You looked for the goods.
Collect those sticks and stones, and get out of there. I prefer to leave at 4-5 a.m., Mainly because I want to get back before dark. Leaving at 12 a.m. could mean that you might be returning in the dark. That's when the Sharks get mean.

Once you're home, stay home for a day or two. That trip was tough. When you feel up to it, visit another Island.

For those who do not own a compass, Or are too dense to use the compass I provided.

Chapter 6: Med-Meds and Dealing with Disease
Disease and Injury will be an enemy to you. Weather it's eating raw food, or breaking a bone. Here's how to react in the situation that these two befall you.

Medicine is a crucial supply you'll require during your expedition

Right now there's 4 types of Medicine.
  • Morphine
  • Bandages
  • Antibiotics
  • Vitamins
[/b][/list]

Bandages
are used to cure bleeding. If you get bitten by a shark, then you need to escape, yet contain a regular eye-contact. Once bitten, you will start bleeding. Applying a bandage is as easy as pie, because Pie is considered a Schrute Dish of Speciality. Simply wrap the bandage around the Cut/Gash quickly, yet be precise. Once done, tear the bandage with your mouth and lick the end to make it sticky. If you don't have a bandage, you can create a Makeshift bandage,

Morphine
is a type of Painkiller. Use only under the circumstances that the owner is under extreme pain. If you have broken a leg or any bone, open the pen and inject it through a large muscle (i.e. Coxa, Buttock, Biceps) and wait for it to be empty. Then it shouldn't be a problem...for a while.

Antibiotics
will help your body (Or do all the work) fight against bacteria. Taking Antibiotics are as simple as taking a pill, and waiting. Only take Antibiotics if you have been stung and poisoned. If you have a water supply, place a pill on your tongue, take in a mouthful of water, and swallow.

Vitamins
help the player get on their feet if they've gotten sick. If you have been coughing, you're sick. You can get sick by having a low body temp (Average 98.6 °F). Swimming lower than Aphotic area of the Sea can cause you to get sick due to the fact that the temperature is lower than 39 °F.
Chapter 7: Light Scorches
Light! When night arrives, it'll be quite useful to have a Light source. Chapter 7 will tell you the different lights possible to find and their functions.

Let's start off with the Sun and Moon.

The Sun and Moon will be a primary light source. The Sun engulfs everything in light for 12 hours, and the Moon is merely a night light. We can't be rude to the Moon, as it reflects the Suns light onto Earth at night. Helping Nocturnal Animals see at night, We get Energy from the Sun, and The Moon's gravity keeps us from Wobbling.

More importantly, The Moon's gravity also causes the tides, benefitting the creatures in the sea, For you to eat.

Stars aren't exactly a good light source, but could help if you learned to use the Stars for navigation.

Schrute approved Constellation Map.

Flares create an extremely bright light when emitted, meaning for a short while, will be a little help.

Right now, there are 2 types of Flares. A Flare Gun, and a Flare.

The Flare Gun, is loaded with 2 Flares, both connected to parachutes. Once Fired, the flare with glide in the air for 5 seconds, the parachute will pop, and the flare will last for about 10 seconds.

The Flare, once lit, will burn for a day. The Flares are a good tool for light, and scaring away sharks.

Flashlights are a portable light source that will be activated with the push of a button.

Starting with the Torch, the Torch isn't as powerful as the Flare. The Torch is water-proof, with the ability to light up Ship-Wrecks under water. Along with the Flare, The Torch can also Scare Sharks away.

Onto the Flashlight itself, is just an inferior version to The Torch. The only difference being how much more light the Torch gives off.

You might be wondering how to escape the islands. Fear is also a common factor. Stay Tuned.
