CAT Net P2P Relay 4-Way

Description
A basic, survival ready ship that can be flown remotly, either over laser or conventional network. It is intended to be a static relay for data transfer over the Laser Antenna network. It's solar pannels produce enough power to keep all 4 Laser Antennae in opperation if at a good angle to the sun. (it comes with batteries and generators as backup).

It is built for use with the CAT Net scripts I created and is useful as a relay satelite though a bit finicky to use. Due to the way laser antennae find their targets it is possable to connect to an antenna other than the one you aimed at which can result in disconections.
This ship alows a flicker free relay system. by establishing two paralel connections you can use one to transfer messages while the other simply remains static so you dont have your entire network flickering in and out of existance on your hud every time a relay updates. To do this you need to remove the LASER_ANTENNA_TAG (which defaults to '[MIR]') from the name of two of the antennae and have one antenna with the tag and one without it connect to each of the two ships you wish to connect. that way messages are only passed along the antennae with the tag and the others remain on.

To render this ship effectivly invisible to people on other networks simply disable broadcast on the conventional antenna but leave the antenna turned on. if you remain connected to it by the laser antenna the ship will not be visible to the other network. While broadcast is disabled you can still pick up the position of other conventional transmitter, letting you keep an eye on someone elses network without them seeing you. ;)

The relay script can be found here:

y i tried that , i managed to attach small rotor parts over large rotor only...

That only works with basic rotor types. You can use the head of either an advanced or basic rotor, but you can only attach the head to a basic rotor base. It isnt that hard. you just need to get the two close to eachother, then access the rotor base in the console and select the attach option.

i would be happy just if some1 tell me how to attach a small rotor over a large rotor part, the speed of light next day...

Ohhh there are already quite a few ways to break the physics engine XD

well, if u continue like this u will find a way to reach the speed of light, at least in this game :P

Thanks. If only I could find a way to build evolutionary psychology into this I'd be set :p
