I will be printing this out to keep beside me as I hae just arrived here (days late and a pound short as they say) It looks the perfect thing to guide me through the beginners stage.

You MUST login to my2K in both BE & Starships.
The "Hostile Takeover" quest can be frustrating. In BERT, use a "Station Sentinel" to buy time & explicitly mouse over the tile type (land or water) the station is on. You MUST use a melee unit of that type to take the station.
The registration of the various events seems flaky. Save/reload often until you see the unlock Starships dialog pop-up in the lower left-hand corner (don’t blink!), confirm in Starships.
Don't use ANY mods, means NO unlocks for Starships.
Can't confirm Hybrid Affinity watermarks (7/4), use those as minimums.
