Colibri Flotilla Showroom

Description
##Inherent problem with large ships' nose area...will not become airtight. Further attempts at fixing ended. New ships going through design and testing phases.

-No mods required
-All survival ready
-All with working conveyor systems

Colibri Dynamics brings you a choice of ships to create a flotilla for any budget range from the solo player to a full guild. As the title suggests, ships in this fleet are designed with mining operations in mind (mining, logistics and escorts). While escort vessels are included in the fleet, they are not designed for head on combat with specially designed combat fleets. Stay away from enemy capital ships!

---SHORT---
- For flotilla type mining operations. For those who prefer flying smaller ships to server lagging capital class vessels.
- Carriers and corvettes serve as forward operations bases depending on group size and computer ability.
- Bulk of the fleet should be Piranha or Courser miners with a wide range of standby combat vessels to choose from depending on your playstyle.
- Hirudine is a giant vacuum cleaner. Use at your own discretion.
- Escort frigate for point defense
- Utility vessels for repair and (de)construction work
Bring Your Own:
- Capital ships (Like your personal signature, so like with bases you'll definitely want to make your own)
- Worm miners (I acknowledge the fact that they're good for munching away entire asteroids, but I'm not a fan...)

-----SHIPS-----
Large Ships (Paint scheme being experimented with...still can't find one I'm happy with)-
- Providence Support Carrier (Plenty of capacity, good firepower and OK agility, refining systems)

- Prospect Carrier Barge (Smaller transport ship for cheaper carry solutions/easier on computer processing)

- Aegis Escort Frigate (Agile ship to protect from fighter swarms, meteor storms and enemy frigates. Gravity drive.)

- Hirudine Collector Corvette (Collectors and spherical grav gen to pick up stray ore. Increases mining ops efficiency)

- Type 3 General Purpose Corvette (Smaller large ship with all the basics and room for a small ship or two. Scouting and solo operations)

- Type 5 General Purpose Corvette (Smaller large ship with all the basics and a little bit more.)

Small Ships-
- Generation 2 Seraphim Sentinel (shuttle/interceptor for moving people around, search and rescue)

- MiniRay Recon Drone (high speed, small profile, find sweet ore without risking your life)

- Generation 2 Valkyrie series
-Long Range Fighter/Tug A (Merge blocks for mission specific add-ons, spare systems for survivability)
-Assault/Gunship E (Features enclosed cockpit)

- Piranha series
-Patrol Fighter 10s (Cheap general purpose fighter with tight quad gats and centreline rockets. Very fast turning)
-Brawler Fighter Cs (Heavy armour over vitals, added wing rockets. Good for close in encounters)
-Interceptor D (Light armour, high thrust. Concentrated firepower for quick accurate shredding)
-Miner H (Fighter's firepower and agility with miner's capacity and drills)

- Generation 2 Courser series
-Mover (Original model, for moving large unpowered masses and salvage)
-Miner (Quad drills, heavier armour.)
-Adaptor (Connectors allow for extreme flexibility in utility roles)
-General Purpose Utility (4x passenger seats, welder, grinder, dual gats, good cargo cap. Does whatever you want)
-Gunship (Guardian model comes with heavy armour plating, 3x rocket pods, 2x reloadable rockets and 3x gatling guns + dual gats)
-Gunship (Guardian Shredder model comes with 2x reloadable rockets and 6x gatling guns + dual gats. Repainted in combat scheme)

- Generation 2 Adaptor racks
-Cargo (12 medium cargo containers)
-Miner (6 mining drills)
-Welder (6 welders)
-Grinder (6 grinders)
-Recharge (4 large reactors + 8 medium cargo containers)

Still making a few changes and updates to this first ship. Adding in a few of the newer model blocks.

So 1 percent of the windows was part of the issue. Then the hull had 20 plus areas along with the large cargo's that had hair line gaps with being sealed. Had to remove the cargo's semi rework those areas. Also, I had to remove the pistons as these also caused a gap in air tightness.

Nice work mind I take this over and update it? Think I found the leaks in the ship/s. Many thank and much respect.

I must say, I been look at you current and past work, and I am impressed! Your creation are functional and you seem to have found a build style (something most engineers struggle to find).

Your small ship are amazing, each one has a purpose that's unique to each craft and the style you've chosen to build them a unique personality that sets them apart form one another.

Your large ship are well built and have a unique look to them, plus look like their from the same fleet (something I still have trouble pulling off). Only thing I can fault you for is not giving them a good paint job and color scheme, manage to do that and these ships will really stand out.

Keep up the good work!

Update: It's the windows...some of them aren't airtight for some reason even though they look it. Even after closing off the gaps I left open earlier, the observation area doesn't pressurize. Will just have to wait for a patch.

Thanks for the feedback!
The armored room was designed to be the CIC. Where you could pilot the ship, man turrets and such since the primary pilot seat at the front is a suicide seat in battle.

With the oxygen, the problem isn't so much that I can't fit the modules in (I've done this by swapping straight conveyors to the sides of CIC with Oxy tanks and the little decorative pillar by the interior turrets with an Oxy generator.

The problem is that both the Aegis and Providence are not actually airtight to start with, most notably with the medium cargo containers and such. I'm currently reworking these areas to get a proper seal. So far I've replaced the forward left medium container with a bunch of smalls, a pair of Oxy tanks and some armour to seal the area around the doorway. It'll be a while before these are ready... :/

I love these ships. The oxygen update caught me by surprise at first, but it turns out the armored room at the back of the Providence (I'm guessing it was a panic room?) could fit an oxygen tank, generator, vent and a medical station.

@ChocoCrispi
I actually haven't published anything new in a while. I have a few newer ships that I have been meaning to do so, but haven't been able to get around to it. I am actually working on a large battleship/carrier that I started as kind of a remake of Errant Defiler. I also have close to 2 dozen small ship designs that I have been planning to release, but with each update there is always something to update. I think when I finish my current project I will probably publish all the others along side it.

Thanks for the compliments though, most of my published ships are pretty rough early designs anyway. The Errant Defiler is actually incredibly slow despite the fact that I meant for it to be a rather fast ship. I have improved my style quite a bit though, through many long hours of trial and error.

From your vessels, I see you've found a sweet balance between armour, maneuverability and gunnery and making it look pretty damn good while you're at it. ( TCS Errant Defiler , looking at you!)
Thanks for sharing! :)
