Thanks that's it.

"I have a vague memory that somehow the game didn't add all the points and I actually needed the last move to make a "few hundred" match to win." You can clearly see that broken hearts are about that match here (on the left) and the game doesn't allow you to win when that happens. What exactly are the mechanics of that is unknown though.

I think I sent you a HuniePop Allstar invitation. You are most welcome to join.
I just published a Quickie achievement guide. I would be happy to post one that you create.

Yeah, Passion and Sentiment don't give affection. Once you're maxed or used all your gifts, they do nothing for you besides take up space.

Munie payout is on the forums somewhere. Basically you get more with passion/moves/sentiment remaining, so using Heart+Pearl Necklace on your last move pretty much guarantees ~4k Munie.

I started playing before cards/achievements came out so I didn't care for the Steam key. Makes it more annoying to post screenshots and stuff too, and I can't make an actual guide... Oh well, I'll get it when it's cheap prolly.

Have you broken the formula for munie payout after a date? It seems like I got less for a good alpha date than the ones whith the locked characvters.

I have also noticed that the game will grant you sucsess if you get to within say 50 points of the affection goal on a high goal alpha game.

Deep game research is interesting. Another puzzle to solve.

Forgive me for being snoopy... You play HuniePop but do not have a steam copy? I can't find your achievements?

ULC,
That's right. It was a 6 match with 3 power tokens. It's just my record, I always like to leave room for the compitition.
I have a vague memory that somehow the game didn't add all the points and I actually needed the last move to make a "few hundred" match to win. I have been playing so much lately, it's all kinda blurry, lol.

Something else I've noticed: a four match of hearts that will show 4x7 for instance flash and fade on the screen does not increase your affection total and raises your passion by maybe two levels.

Here's a 7-match illustrating the concept. [i.imgur.com]

A 14-match of all power tokens would give 35,280 affection each, or 493,920 total.

The absolute highest payout for any date gift would be using the Pearl Necklace with 999 sentiment, for 999% of the goal. At date #100, that would be 2,730,267 affection in one go.

The highest the game can allow is 2,147,483,583 before the integer starts going negative, but that would require uncapped date goals which can only be achieved by cheating at the moment. Although for some reason the game seems to think 100% of 2,147,483,583 is actually 2,147,483,392...

Was that with three power tokens in a 6-match? If all 6 were power tokens you'd gain 5040 per token at max Passion level.

A 7-match could give up to a max of 7350 per token. You try for an 8-match, but it would more than likely fail to correctly match due to a bug, resulting in two separate 4-matches. The buggy matching mechanics could technically be exploited to leave long strings of connected same-type tokens in a row on the board, and thus allow for otherwise impossible 8+ matches, but the planning and luck required is enormous.

That said, it's entirely possible to make up to a 14-match, which would theoretically grant a 12x multiplier, without exploiting any glitches. The trick here is that date gifts which consume tokens still get multipliers for adjacent tokens. Using the 3x3 gift on 4 connected tokens (think Tetris) gives twice as much affection than if they were all spread out, and 5 tokens connecting one corner of the square to the other would give 3x the usual amount.

Thanks, I was limiting this run to token matches. I think the best date gift payout can get up to 250,000 points. Alpha date #100, pearl necklace, last move sentiment 108 :hp_kyu:

Quite impressive. Have you tried using the "consume row/column/3x3" items, by the way?
I doubt that even with those you'd be able to beat this, but it is theoretically possible. Especially the 3x3 one since it consumes 9 tokens.
