Prepare Object
  1. Load the world that contains the item you wish to blueprint. It does not matter if the world is Survival or Creative.
  2. Pull up a Terminal on the object and go to the Info tab and give it a final Ship Name how you want it to appear in the workshop.
  3. In the Control Panel of the ship, select all components (Left-Click top and then SHIFT+Left-Click bottom) and set the Owner as Nobody. This will allow other people that project this blueprint in survival to actually use the object rather than "hack" the ownership to themselves after building it.
  4. As an optional step, you can pre-load the cargo, fuel and ammo storage. These items will not show up when projecting in survival but they will show up in a Creative world when pasting the blueprint (which the world can later be made into survival). If you are in Creative Mode, use SHIFT+F10 to spawn items.
  5. Take some screenshots of your object:
    • Press zero to clear what you are holding in your hand.
    • Press TAB to remove the GUI interface.
    • Arrange the best position to view your ship in the light and have it take up the entire screen.
    • Press F12 to take a Steam Screenshot and go through the steps to save the image to your PC somewhere. Might even take several screenshots such as the inventory, cockpit view, etc.
Create a Good Description
Give a good, clean and concise description of the purpose of your blueprint and save this in a text file. You can expand the details later but try to get the basics in a single sentence 1st.

Also list which mods are required if you used modded parts. It is polite and improves efficiency to create links to the other mod pages.

To create a link, use URL bbcode to make some text get an clickable web address.

Example Code:
[url=https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406528876]HL Respawn Minimal Reactor[/url]
Example Output: HL Respawn Minimal Reactor

Other bbcodes that can work are as follows:

Bold:
[b]Bold[/b]
Italic:
[i]Italic[/i]
Underline:
[u]Underline[/u]
Images:
[img]insert URL here[/img]
Code:
[code]cout << "Hello World!";[/code]
Quote:
[quote]He said, she said[/quote]
NoParsing:
[noparse]This [b]BBCode[/b] is not processed[/noparse]
Bullet Lists:
[list]
[*]item 1
[*]item 2
[*]item 3[/list]
Upload the Blueprint to Steam Workshop
  1. Press zero and put your crosshairs on the object in such a way that it would make a good screenshot and press CTRL + B
  2. This will copy the object to your blueprint list and will automatically open the F10 blueprint window.
  3. Find your object, click on it and then click the Details button.
  4. If you are not satisified with the thumbnail image, you can take another screenshot on the prior page.
  5. Click the Publish button and then click Yes stating that you agree to giving over your 1st born child.
  6. Mod Published - Click OK to see it pulled up in the in-game workshop
  7. You can now edit the description, add those high-resolution images and videos.

NOTE: I tend to prefer making changes direclty in the Steam client rather than the in-game pop-up due to some wonkiness of the system...clicking "Browse" when picking images for example is very clunky in-game but perfectly normal direclty in the Steam client.

Vex Graylax, I think i figured it out. what i did was i deselected steam sync, considering the problem started after doing that. I think the steam sync button is broken, so try doing that and see if ur problem is fixed.

@MalwareBytes , #1 - Love your name. #2 - If playing in SP where you have admin rights or in creative mode, press Shift+F10. #3 - If playing on a server and you have no admin rights, you build and power a projector. Then select the projector controls and tell it to load a blueprint which will show a hologram of the ship.

@Annoying Scout Main, iirc, in Creative mode, you press F10 to bring up Blueprints and simply spawn it. If in survival, you have to use a powered projector. You go into the control panel of the projector and tell it to load a particular blueprint and it will show a hologram of that blueprint and you can then begin welding the pieces that are touching a non-hologram object. Best to use a construction ship which allows for a much larger welding radius than a hand welder.
