*FYI, I am not a Dev for this mod. I was just a player who had lots of fun on the mod and made a guide one night because I loved blacksmithing.*
Map of "Tales of Heroes"
How to Become "Cultured"
Culture in the mod determines what faction's weapons you'll be able to produce as a blacksmith. For example, a Nord can't make crossbows while a Rhodok or Swadian could. I'll list the weapons each faction can make later in this guide.

There are several places at which you can change your culture. You'll start as Swadian and it costs 5000 gold each time to change culture so choose carefully.

This is the table in Whiteforge right outside of the main town. There are others but it's the easiest to find and use.

Blacksmithing- First Step "Smelter"
Blacksmith is the class you'll want to train as to be able to produce weapons, costs 4000 gold.
Next find a good forging area that has easy access to resources that are in stock. Whiteforge is pretty good unless someone has owned the 2 shops there. Most of the castles have a forge as well.

To start making a weapon, buy or have someone mine an iron ore.
Now find a smelter like this one

Hold F to smelt, this will melt the iron ore into a "heated iron bar". Note: that if you hold F while being close to and looking at the left or right side makes a difference.
The left side will split a bar into 2 smaller bars/pieces while the right side does the opposite.
Right side combines 2 bars into the next largest bar. So a long bar would need two bars combined.

Long Bar, Bar, Short Bar, and Piece is the order.

Blacksmithing- "Steel"
High-end weapons call for steel instead of iron. Steel is more work but its worth it.

Take an iron bar of any size and take it to the forge

Unlike the smelter, you need the bar and coal.
Note: there is a chance you will lose your iron bar and coal when you heat the forge. There is nothing you can do but buy another coal and bar and try again.

If you hold F after putting both items in, you'll empty the forge out.

You must heat the forge by using the air blower on the right of the forge.

If it works, you will have a heated steel bar of whatever size the iron bar was. You can use the smelter with steel like you can iron to make small bars. Follow the steps like you would iron to make a weapon with steel instead.
Blacksmithing- Second Step "Anvil and Hammering"
Second, you have to hammer it on an anvil

You'll need a "repair hammer" which you can buy from the same table usaully as coal and iron ore. Hit it(don't hold F) till it turns into a "Pounded Iron/Steel Bar". Pick it up and you'll have to shape it.

Blacksmithing- Third Step "Shaping"
Third, go to the shaping wheel

Ok here is where you will actually decide what you want to make. The type of bar you have will determine what kind of blade or head is made and therefore what weapon you can make.

Starting from the longest bar to shortest, here is a list of how many times you gotta shape a bar to get a certain result.

Long Bar
1st Shape - Giant Blade
2nd Shape - Long Blade

Bar
1st Shape - Blade
2nd Shape - Short Blade
3rd Shape - Crossbow Head

Short Bar
1st Shape - Mace Head
2nd Shape - Axe Head

Piece
1st Shape - Spear Head
2nd Shape - Small Blade

If you make a wrong shape, its not the end of the world. You can simply take it to the smelter after quenching it and smelt it back into a bar and start the process over again without losing anything.
Blacksmithing- Step 3.5 "Wood Processing"
You will need wood for some weapons. Wood starts in two forms. Branches and Blocks.

You can either buy it or have it chopped down.

You can buy it from piles like those.

Next go to the processing bench.

Like shaping metal, you have to process multiple times to get what you need.

Wood Block
1st Process - 4 Boards

Branch
1st Process - Wooden Pole
2nd Process - 2 Short Wooden Poles
3rd Process - 2 Sticks
Blacksmithing- Step 4 "Quenching"
After getting the desired shape, you have to cool it.
Find a quenching trough

Luckily, you only have to do this step once. Note: you have to cool it before crafting or before you can smelt down a shaped blade back into a bar so you shaped into something else if you made a mistake.
Blacksmithing- Step 5 "Crafting"
Finally, you are ready to make a weapon and see the fruits of your labor.
Go to the crafting table

Here, I'm making a basic sword.

Equip the item you need for the recipe. Hold F and then pull out the next ingredient and do the same. Repeat if it calls for a third item. With nothing equipped, hold F to craft and pick up your weapon. Enjoy your new shiny weapon or sell it so others can kill each other while you make a tidy profit!

What Wasn't Covered in This Guide(Yet) and Final Words.
  • Bow Making and Wood Bending.
  • Armor Making (Its said to be the same as PW) [loppen.com] Armor recipes are on that page , but the weapon recipes aren't the same as on this mod. You may also have to be an armorer class as I don't think you can make armor as a blacksmith or eng.
  • Daggerhead is a myth

As I found out more, I'll add to this guide.

Thanks to the mod creators, the cool players who don't just rob, and the MOFO clan who showed me some of the intricacies of blacksmithing.

It would be great if you could build your own structures, such as markets, houses, defensive buildings, etc.

We plan to make a mod merging best practices from PW+FW and improving it a lot for M&B2/Bannerlord. Stay tuned. It's good that there are some smaller servers für M&B1 and FW to play while we all are waiting für the sequel. :)

Listen up. First off. Its not possible to create a singleplayer form of feudal world using the current game engine. Second off. Stop being a prick and annoying him with "create single player feudal world please" because its not going to happen

Yeah, this mod has real potential. The badmin count was too high and the FPS count too low. Even then, the map was crap, and the badmin's attitude turned away any actual half-decent mappers from helping them...
