If you still don't know how to do any of these controls, go visit the tutorial.
Getting Started
Before you get started surviving the wilderness of Unturned, you need to create your charactor.
To do this, go to the "survivors" tab on the top of the screen.(Optional)

After you clicked the tab, you will see a selection of hair, faces, and left, or right-handed weapon side.
You can do a 360 degree view of the charactor with the slider on the bottom.
Now that you done that, go to the "Play" tab.
You will see the map PEI. Select the map, and click play on the left side of the screen.
Basics
Here are the basics, at the bottom left, you will have Health, hunger, thirst, desease, and Stamana.
Health - The damage you can take from enemies.
Hunger - Will kill you if reached by 0. Fill this by food.
Thirst - Same as food, but takes drinks.
Desease - When you eat certain foods/hit by zombie, etc, you will lose this, and be more vulnerable by hits.
Stamana - Your energy to run,rightclick hit,etc
These are the basic things to worry about. To fill these, you need the right item to fill the conditions.
For example, you eat chips and your hunger WAS 80 and after you eat, you have 100% hunger.
From where you spawn, press the M key on your keyboard.
Here, you can see your map of PEI, or any map, and your 4 tabs.

Your inventory, crafting, map, and skills.
Inventory - The items you carry.
Crafting - Where you combine items into one.
Skills - What you learn.
Map - Area of the location. Shows your profile pic, name, and area name.
Clothing, Backpacks, and vests have clothing inventory. Hats and glasses are vanity, and do not give inventory space.
Houses in each area are filled with items to collect, and wear. Some items are better than others.
Zombies, and how to kill them easily.
Zombies are the only thing that tries to kill you.(unless your in multiplayer, then players will try to kill you.) You don't want to mess with them in your first try. So to try to solve that problem, you need to find a weapon. A bat, or a Kitchen knife is one, but standing up and trying to left click him will get you killed, or luckily, you get a headshot, and make them stunned. To easily kill a zombie, go crouch by the X key. you will be noticed less and make noise less. Equip your knife, and walk BEHIND a zombie. When your behind him, Right-click his head, and that takes your stamana, but deals a heavy blow the zombie, and also stun him. Going in front of the zombie will get you noticed quicker, as you are in it's field of vision.
IF NOTICED: Run(Shift) and try to get out of the town's boarder (AKA, where the zombies stop chasing you.) and try killing them from there.
IF NOT NOTICED: Keep searching the area until all houses are checked and looted. Not all items are needed.
Military Base, and "Mega" zombies!
Until you found a military base, the items there are good, but are hard to find, and spawn rarely. In military bases, there is only no, or one "Mega zombie". Military weapons, such as the Maplestrike, are very rare in cases. Even trying to take on a mega zombie with a melee weapon is harder than you think it is. Military bases are filled with usefull loot from ammo, to weapons. MRE is a food item healing both hunger and thirst by 75 - 80%.
Full "Blood" Moon!
Do you know what happens on a full moon in werewolf movies? That's Exactly what happens in unturned, exept the zombies don't turn into werewolves, they have RED EYES, indicating that their hearing Radius when standing/Running Is boosted alot, and they Respawn quick, even in your face! Be careful about these guys. Supressers recommended!
Attachments, or Modifications.
Each weapon can hold attachments depending on where there's a slot. For Example, your barrel for your Maplestrike is Empty, and you have an item to put there, (Note! Only the RIGHT Type will go where it's Supposed to go!) you just click the item, and now it's there. Great! Others improve Accuraccy, others for vision, etc. Sights go on top of your weapon, Improving Accuracy, and Zoom. Magizines are ammo for weapons (of course), Grips help the gun stay in your sight of your target without recoil. Suppresors help keep the noise from your gun go away, and not be heard (like Bows).
Crafting
Many stuff can be crafted by pressing Y. 2 berries can be made to a mushed berry, which is less "drugy" than usual. Crafting recipies are unlocked by geting the required items for that recipie.
Don't worry about wasting resourses, because you make better ones!
Makeshift Items means craftainable weapon modifications. this is for simple muzzles, sights, and weapons. You can make medical supplies, refill ammunation, and make a House. There many things to craft in Unturned!
Making a House!
Making a house isn't the same as minecraft, you need to cut wood down trees, and use the wood to make a platform, pillars, walls, doorway, door, and a roof. There are 3 trees avalable:
Birch - White colored wood. Good for making a winter homebase to keep enemies confused!
Maple - Normal colored wood. Good for making cabins!
Pine - Darker colored wood. Good for making Storages!
You can use any wood for a house, but an axe is required to cut the tree down. To find that, go to a Campground, and find one. They are common there.
Vehicles!
Cars and trucks in the game are one transportation. Each every vehicle contains gas. Gas is obtainable in 2 ways.
Cucular silver tubes, and gas pumps.
At the bottom-right, you can see Gas, and MPH (Miles per hour)
Gas - fuel to run cars, and trucks.
MPH - How fast your going.
If you plan to keep the car, build a garage by hitting some wood with an axe.
There are harder vehicles to drive, but yet i dunno how to drive them.
Cosmetics!
When you play, you might get a shirt, pants, or other items that said "You have unlocked {ItemNameHere}", you can equip it in the inventory tab in the survivors menu. your cosmetics can be shown here. You can use the SWITCH to revert back to your equiped shirt, pants etc. if you don't have a backpack cosmetic, and you have a backpack, it will stay normal. To equip, click on a shirt, and click Equip to wear that item. NOTE: When you equip this, it will not effect gameplay, space or else. it's just cosmetics for the player to wear. Try and see what's right for you!
DUE TO AN UPDATE, THERE ARE NOW CAMOS! They are equiped like any cosmetic in the game.
Random Boost!
A random boost is something a good, but fairly priced upgrade in the skills, but also makes things funny.
Olympion - Throwing things farther.
Blood Splater - each kill gives more blood.
Flight - Zombies, and Velicles now have crazy ragdolls, and volocity effects.
Hardened - Damage from zombies, and enemies are reduced.
These are fun to mess with, but it takes a chunk of skill points from you.
NOTE: You can only choose one!
The Difference about Civilian, Military, and Ranger.
Civilian has the most common loot, and is lawed around police weapons.
Military has the rare loots, and is lawed by military weapons, which are powerful. less space than police.
Ranger is the most Hardest loot to find, and can only be found in the bottom-left of the map. Lawed by Ranger Weapons, but clothing is same as police.
Workshop!
The steam workshop is a place to download optional modifacations to the game(Like guns and cars and stuff).
You can make your own ingame mods and post them in this workshop with alot of other items. There are:
Maps: You can play on them!
Localization: Differant languages!
Objects: Different ingame assets!
Items: Food and guns, and lots more!
Velicles: Cars, and Trucks, and Vans!
Skins: People make skins for guns, and weapons! (These need to be implemented first)
None of these wil spawn ingame, meaning that you need to do some commands (Which is cheating) and get the item yourself. If the item can be crafted using other materials, then no need for commands.
NOTE: I highly don't recommend getting any OP (Overpowered) Gear, or any goods easily crafted, as these make the game boring, and cheaty.
Empty map? No fear, Charts and GPS are here!
You might notice that your map is gone, right? Well, due to an update, You need to get a certain item for it to activate again. It is either the chart, or the GPS. These are commonly found in military bases, and can help you a ton! Charts show the off-limit zones (which i don't know.) and show the military base on PEI, as well as the Island in the middle of the map. You can toggle which you would rather use, Chart, or GPS.
