Configuring Wolfenstein 3D To Run With Windows 8/10
Step 1: Navigate to your wolfenstein 3d steamapps folder which i keep in D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Wolfenstein 3D\base
(most people keep steam in c drive)

Step 2: Open up wolf3d.conf (I use notepad) and change fulldouble=false to fulldouble=true (you may not need to do this but this helped me) next go to output=ddraw and change that to output=opengl (this is crucial) finally go to cycles=???? (this number varies) and change that to cycles=max (this is to make it smoother).

Step 3: Repeat on wolf3dc.conf
Configuring Spear Of Destiny To Run With Windows 8/10
Step 1: Go to D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Spear of Destiny\base (this varies per individual)

Step 2: Repeat the steps from Wolfenstein 3d Step 2 into SOD.conf

And that's all for the guide!
If you have any problems let me know.

Try ECWolf source port

I did this and it still isn't running, I don't know what's wrong with this game, it should've been reoptimized for modern PCs from the start...

yes I can try that!
Thanks!

nice joke but it doesn't solve the problem!

I tried a little bit around with the cycle values now and i found out that the Pushwall-move-to-far-Problem starts, if i set the cycle value to 8000 or more.
If i set the cycles to a value of 8000 to 10000, then i can solve the Problem by saving in front of the wall, push the wall and reload the save, if it moves too far.
But if i set the cycles value to 11000 and more, then nothing works anymore respectively the wall moves too far, no matter what i do.

So no one can tell me that I am the only dosbox user who has read this guide and still has this problem. :steamsad:

I wonder a bit, why no one here has the problem, that the pushwalls are moving too far.
the best example is in Episode 6/Floor 2
anyway, that's the case with me, if I change the cycles to max! :steamsad:
