For some reason, you can not die or quit the game when doing these achievements, it will reset the counters, so it will be a bit long, but easy to get them.

You need 50 000 scrap metal for Getting Paid and 20 000 bullets shot for Golden Shells, so for this one use only the american, he can shoot much more than the others.

After complete the starting tutorial, buy the M1-Tompson (or you can start with MP-40) and go to an area.

When you reach an area to explore, keep following the path and grab every scrap metal until you reach the travel to other area, but go back after enter there, because in that end there is nothing useful.

Keep doing this, even in nights, because the first nights it's easy to be out of the safe house (just make sure to open the chests, it has a lot of ammo that you will need), and also, for some reason, the game will prolong the nights by doing this.

When the first night end, you will have a lot of scrap metal (I end up with 20 000), go to the shop and buy the Golden AK-47, upgrade all your gear, buy some ammo and health pack.

Go back and keep doing the same trick until you get the Getting Paid achievement, it will take one more day for this, but still, it will have long nights and easy zombies to kill.

After complete the first achievement, you will have a lot of scrap metal to spend.

Buy 20 000 Machine Gun Ammo, with rest of the scrap metal you can choose to upgrade your safe house to stay there or just go out and stay on the same trick (I did this, to see how much scrap metal I could get until complete this achievement).



You will be firing all the time, spending all that ammo to complete the achievement. This will take more time than the other one, but still easy.

Put the game on window mode, remove the sound and do something else, like watching YouTube videos, or this will get pretty bored.

I finished this one in about 35-45min and got more than 50 000 scrap metal.
