Description

With the growing popularity of gravity shielding, CEU Fleet Command commissioned a study into the use of kinetics as a effective low cost alternative weapons system. Results on larger vessels were poor as these ships could not accelerate fast enough for multiple strikes, and plans were quickly shelved. Smaller craft yielded much better results but could not mount a reloading system without becoming an easy target for enemy interceptors. Developed in conjunction with the Scarab Rapid Reloading System later mounted on the Athena Light Carrier, the Scarab Strike Bomber represents the answer to these problems. Scarab squadrons can cripple large slow vessels and stations by sniping thrusters and systems from outside the effective range of enemy turrets, their Hammerfall torpedoes moving silently through enemy gravity shielding. While the Scarab carries a heavy payload, it lack any kind of defensive weaponry and should be escorted by Wasps and Dragonflies.

Strong Against: Large, slow vessels, Stations

Weak Against: Gatling Guns, Fighters, Interceptors

I try to make all my ships suitable for use in survival PvP and I'm trying to achieve some sort of balance between vessels to allow for multiple fleet builds, if you use my ships and find a good combination or a bug/problem, let me know.
