Best solution
  1. Exit the game should it be running.

  2. Open this file in your favorite text editor:
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\spacegame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini
(just copy and paste the above into the file name field of the file open dialog)

  3. Copy & paste this into the opened file:

    [/script/movieplayer.movieplayersettings] StartupMovies=

  4. Save the file and close notepad. Next time you start the game no intro movies will display.

Known issues
  • None. This solution should be permanent.
Alternate Solution
If editing files makes you nervous you can also:

  1. Right click Fractured Space in your Steam library, select properties
  2. Go to the LOCAL FILES tab and press the BROWSE LOCAL FILES button at the top.
  3. Click on the spacegame and then the Content folder, delete the Movies folder you will find in there.
  4. Next time you start the game you will not see any movies at all, not even the ECG logo.

Known issues
  • You will have to repeat this procedure should the devs ever add another movie or change the existing ones because Steam will then redownload them. This is unlikely to happen often, if at all.

Strange, when I try it I get a black screen. Maybe some other setting I changed, dunno. I'm currently traveling so I don't really have time to look into it.

Thanks Snib. Though when that file is gone I get a 100% whitescreen. I tried replacing the file with one of the tips, but it still didn't help. When I used a tool called UE Viewer to have a look, it seems I need to modify the object name. Probably easier to convince the devs that white logo screen has to go, or at least don't spam it each time you leave a battle.

Sure, if you want to remove that the easiest way is to rename or delete this file:

<Fractured Space Installation Folder>\spacegame\Content\UI\Fractured_Space_Splash.uasset

See the alternate solution in the guide on how to get to the installation folder (browse local files).
