Screenshots aren't mine - they were taken by this mod's original creator. They were using the original Source-mod version of Black Mesa, which is why you see the M4 skin working.

How do you get this to work?

Still though, 2000 isn't the correct date to apply those uniforms. I don't care however, they look awesome, that's reason enough in a fictional game...;)

This uniform is chronologically correct.

HL1 actually takes place at some point during the 2000's, intentionally vague. Either way, interesting insight!

Eh, the game is set in 1998 (I assume, since this is when Half Life was originally released). Which means they should be wearing the M81 (US Woodland) camouflage on the Battle Dress Uniform, or perhaps the three color Desert Camouflage Pattern, also on the BDU (this one would make a lot of sense, since Black Mesa is in a desert). They should not have the UCP camouflage on the Army Combat Uniform represented here. We didn't start using the UCP camo or the ACU until 2005.

They should probably also be wearing the older PASGT body armor, as the IBA armor system didn't enter service until 2000, and the IOTV didn't enter service until 2007.

The rifle looks good though. And if the game is actually set anywhere from 2007 to 2018 the soldiers look great!
