Knowing Your Joints
Knowing all of your joints is very important in toribash, using all of your joints really can help you win matches and alot more like tourneys! Your joints can even make you run in toribash, but running is an advanced move so we will not be covering that in this guide. All of the joints that you have on your tori are, the hands, wrist, shoulder, neck, pecs, chest, lumbar, abs, glute, hip, knee, and the ankle. Knowing how to use these joints in different ways can use different effects of movement on your tori. There are different stages on your joints, what this means, is that you can have normal joints, dismembered joints, and fractured joints. Dismembered joints mean that that joint has fallen off and can still be moved, but will not be connected to your tori. Last but not least, fractured joints mean its not fallen off, but can not be moved. It simply sits there being unable to get used. Next is the hand grabbing. Simply by clicking on your tori's hand, it will go from a cube to a rectangular prism. What does this do? It simply allows you to grab the other tori that your fighting it touches. If you keep it grabbed the whole time, this simply means you can move around with the other tori and fight him. That is about it for knowing your joints. Lets move on to the next stage, the 2 different moving types.
The Two types of Movement
So, there are two moving types you can use in Toribash. Both of them are the Relaxing mode and Holding mode. Relaxing mode basicly makes you limp but you can still move around. Relaxing really isnt the way to go for fighting. It also makes your body really easy to be dismembered when fighting another player. Holding is the way to go. It makes it so your body is alot more tougher then relaxing and can hit pretty much harder then relaxing. Most players in Toribash prefer holding their joints then relaxing their joints. Although, there is a famous kick where you relax one of your knees and dismember the players body. So relaxing does have some use. Anyway, thats a advanced move, and like i said, we wont be covering that in this guide.
Putting Your Knowledge To the Test
So, now knowing your joints and your two modes of fighting/movement, it's time to learn some basic moves! Now, some moves can be difficult for others, and easy for others. One move that's a good opening move that isn't really difficult but more or less in the middle of advanced and basic. This move is an opening kick. To do this move, you have to press c to hold your muscles and joints, extend both glutes, rotate chest right, contract left pec, extend right pec, and then you will kick, once you have kicked your oponent, you need to contract your right glute, and then move on with other moves from there. A more basic move that you can do is the Noobclap. The noob clap is contracting both pecs from there you can grab (if you want) your oponent and do other moves. One of the most important parts of Toribash is that you have to try to put your joints together and trying to make your own moves. This is very important because some guides wont exactly "tell you moves you can do". Doing this can help you do it more often and possibly help you win alot more games. Also practicing. Practicing your moves is also very important. If you just go into a lobby and try doing a move, it is most likely not gonna work, that is why practice in Toribash is one part to learning moves.
Using your Ghost
In Toribash, you also have a Ghost. You may not understand yet what the "ghost" is but i will tell you. Your ghost in Toribash is very, very important. Your ghost shows you what will happen when you move your joints in various ways. This can help you see if your doing thing wrong and will fall and get disqualified. Then you can try doing somthing else to prevent that from happening. Your ghost also tells you if any of your joints will get dismembered. This is why it's very important to use watch and use your ghost.
Getting Dqed
There is another feature in Toribash. This feature is getting DQed. When you get DQed, it means that you have fell on the ground and a circle will eject from you and will make a noise. This means you have had a joint touch the ground and you will have to wait at the bottom of the line in each lobby. Also, earlier when we talked about dismembered joints, well, can you guess what im gonna say? If you said this you were right, dismembered joints can also make you DQ if there not on you. Its sometimes really hard to get out of situations like that, but it happens.
BRS (Belt Ranking System)
The BRS (Belt Ranking System) is another part of toribash. You can go from a white belt up to an elite belt. The order of belts you go through will be displayed in a list here.
White Belt
Yellow Belt
Orange Belt
Green Belt
Blue Belt
Brown Belt
Black Belt
2nd Dan Black Belt
3rd Dan Black Belt
4th Dan Black Belt
5th Dan Black Belt
6th Dan Black Belt
7th Dan Black Belt
8th Dan Black Belt
9th Dan Black Belt
10th Dan Black Belt
Master Belt
Custom Belt
Godbelt
Elite Belt
So, thats all the names of the belts you can obtain through the BRS. Now, you may ask, "How do you obtain these belts?". Well, to obtain these belts you have to get a number of wins through matches in the game. The higher up belts like the Dan black belts and Master belts are hard to get because you need somewhat more than 1000 wins to 10,000 wins. The BRS is very hard to complete and some people are already up to the 10th Dan Black Belt wich is very insane!
