Don't be afraid of trying something new, but don't save over your old game, cuze Skyrim's game architecture is somewhat touchy. I'm learning how to use console commands to paralyse immortal npcs when they're fighting me. I plan on making a mod to remove their protection or simply have them refuse to fight, not decided yet.
When you've been doing this as long as I have, making a mod for a custom tier with unique armour/weapons and accessories becomes less confusing, simply time consuming. (Seriously, linking meshes to everything is so fkin tedious.)
I have a couple public release mods on Nexus if you want a look.

You actually make your own mods? Fur/ hide cloaks would look really cool too with this armour and perhaps a fur trimming to the hood too? Wished I could make my own armours and all but I'm much too noob for that XD Hope you'll figure the Dual Sheath Redux mod out and have a blast with it !!
I'm gunna figure out how to make it work with Dual Sheath Redux, but without expressed permission from Lilith though, no public access to the mod.
