Description
Monsaró, a medieval European town established in 1217, lies at the feet of the Alps, where the great Bunda river meets the Mediterranean sea. For centuries Monsaró was the window into the world for the whole region with its harbor. But times are changing, the region needs to modernize while keeping all cultural legacy intact. This is where you come in.

YOUR MISSION

Plan out a bursting metropolis in synergy with the past.

YOUR TASKS & CONDITIONS
  1. Fix the obvious problems at hand.
  2. Keep the budget in mind. The ministry of culture decrees you to keep both the Decoration and the Unique Buildings budgets set at 150%.
  3. Districts Monsaró, Kalifax, Ardena and Montepie need to stay untouched due to their cultural significance to the region. (Basic infrastructure improvements are more than welcome though.)
  4. Extend the highway all the way past the harbor. Wisely construct a railway network that carries both passengers and cargo.
  5. Re-establish a settlement on Victoria Isle. (Full story on the island can be found below.)
  6. Grow the whole region to inhabit at least 100,000 people.
  7. Build the Eden Project on one of the remaining islands.
  8. Build an airport.

FUN/BETA TASKS
  • BAO ISLAND
    Have at least 2 buildings on Bao Island. (Ploppable, growable, unique, whatever.)

  • MAFIA WORK (Needs testing)
    Work with the mafia and allow at least 10% crime rate at all time as an additional challenge.
    This needs some testing and feedback. What would you say is the optimal rate to make it interesting yet playable?

ABOUT VICTORIA ISLE
The island of Victoria is ment to be a settlement fully flattened during WWII. My initial idea here was to use some ruins, and ask the player to first remove, then rebuild, but a.) there's no ruins in the workshop, b.) a lot of work for possibly a tedious task. If you happen to model or find ruins please let me know.

It's pretty neat, but I found it a little bit easy. Fun, though, and the city looks really good and "authentic" :) .

My pc might have sorta crashed while doing this, i'll do it again soon, then i can share the save :)
(Keep in mind when that time comes i play with a boatload of mods. )

Let's say i tried to revamp the public transport, TRIED. I had to end up using 2 metro lines, one trainline across the city, and 12 buslines to make this work efficiently, that was quite a challange for a city of just 35.000 people (at that time). When the airport came in at 75.000, i had to redo everything again. I am currently on 85.000 and haven't build the eden projectas only challange. (I didn't do Mafia work either.), i did do Bao island. It doesn't have 2, it has 7 buildings on it, wich of one is a crematorium :P.

Shame noone is commenting. I downloaded it yesterday and like it a lot. Havent mastered it yet, but fun challenge
