1.First of all, Switch on the Electro Pneumatic valve key, which is at the back of the cab.

2.After that, you will hear the villigance go of, press Q to acknowledge the device.

3.To Start the engine, press "Z" or the start engine button manually. there is also a extra button wich is Labelled "Rotate Crank Shaft" This button is used in emergencies. Sound the horn before starting the engine, by pressing shift+space bar. then, start the engine, wait for a few minuetes for the primer, then the engine will fire up.

Driving techniques:

When the engine has started up, put the reverser in forward (W) release the brakes (;) for this loco, you can't put the throttle straight to 100%, you have to put the throttle in notch 1, wait for a clicking sound, a red light will go out on the dash, then you can begin to notch up on the throttle.
