Raids.
Never ever raid during sea or eath seasons as this will impact the harvest and lead to famine for your clan. A poor harvest will cause you large problems.

Raid during fire season ideally (also when you will get raided so keep some troops back to guard against raids) and keep hitting the same tribe as each successful raid can leave them weaker so you can drive them off thier land or maek them sue for peace.

Use small forces for cattles raids and can be done anytime as has littel impact upon the harvest.

Build up your fortifications to warn you against raids.
Recruiting farmers and weaponthanes.
For weaponthanes recruit outside the clan if you lack farmers otherwise you will have enough thanes but no farmers.

Recruit farmers from vagabonds and distant lands if you do not need many and do not want to annoy your neighbours, if they hate you and you need lots of farmers up teh incentives and recruit from nearby cans (if unfriendly as you have little to lose).
Basic magic not heroquests.
Beware how many shrines you have as they can leave you in poverty.
Sacrifice goods ideally to the goods as cattle are very importnat and thralls are useful as well though expendable if you have enough farmers.
Learn the mysteries so you can set your benefits to the most useful.
Sacrfice to the god of healing often and learn about her quickly.
Bartar god of farming important as well.
Learn about Orlanth chief god first as he helps in battles and farming.
Trade and diplomacy.
To resolve feuds offer cattle or goods not marriage as that is often turned down.
Set up trade routes with friendly clans to increase your wealth and trade away on caravans what you have plenty of for what you need usually food or cattle.
Never trade away cattle as they are useful for food production (ploughing fields) or emergency food from slaughtering them.
Make as many allies as possible and take the emissaries advice.
Cattle
You can never have too many cattle.
Sacrifice regularly to the cattle god.
Trade for cattle whereever possible and launch regular cattle raids.
Avoid handing over or sacrificing too many cattle.
Do not kill for food unless no other option, better kill the horse first and cripple the thanes than the life blood fo the clan.

I disagree. It's better to butcher cows (they give more meat then horses) and then trade 16 horses for like 50 cows.

Thanks for the guide:) in my first game I was using cattle for sacrifices a lot, so in the end my tribe died of starvation:steamfacepalm:

Would have to play the game more but they are quite self explainatory.

Sorry, i meant the option of actual raids: those plunder, take land, etc.. is there specific details on what those options do?

Cattle raids just take cattle. Raids can take land, loot, slaves.

Are there any details on what type of each raiding mean?
