Random Terrain Generator

Description
Random terrain generator for the map editor. It uses 'gradient noise' functions to create adjustable hills/mountains and river/lake channels.

After subscribing, enable the mod in the CS content section. Then go to the Map Editor / New map and you should now see a new icon at the end of the bottom toolbar.

Currently this mod generates the base terrain only. Water, trees etc need to be added using the existing tools (or the great 'Terrain Generator' mod by ziekdrama).

It provides a number of handy settings to generate just the sort of terrain you need. Including:

- Set the exact area location by entering X and Y coordinates. If you see a nice mountain, river etc but it's on the edge of the map, you can change the area X and Y to center the map on it. The available terrain is practically infinite. (The "X/Y" button sets a random location, click Generate to see it).

- Automatically generated river and lake channels (at sea level) ready to be filled with water as needed.

- Mountain height scale to create huge mountains or gently rolling hills.

- Horizontal scale to create shrink or expand the space (low lands) between mountain ranges.

Have fun and feel free to comment with any issues or suggestions.

(This mod is based on the UI and integration code in the 'Terrain Generator' mod by ziekdrama (thanks!). It currently uses the same icon because I don't know of any other icon sprite names . If anyone has a list of these names I'd love to see it).

@ash Since you haven't done anything for almost a year, can I take it you won't update it?

I have a feature request. Can you make it to where the generator can add a gentle sloping grade from one side of the map to another? This would make forming rivers a little easier as the riverbeds would not be perfectly level.

Sorry to hear people are having issues with the mod. I haven't played CS for a while as my PC really struggles once population gets towards 50k. However I'm upgrading my PC soon and will likely be playing again. No promises but I'll possibly look at a fix for the mod then. The code hasn't changed since I wrote it, but obviously CS has been updated a few times since so possibly API calls that worked back then must no longer work.

In my eyes one of the "Must Have" Mods that still works with the current Version of the game (but i'm not playing with the Natural Disasters DLC)
And for those who also wanna place trees and resources randomly i recommend the "Terrain Generator" https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=453425585
But i have a question to the modder.
Can i change the gradient noise image that the od works with to create more variants of maps?

Keeps producing the same busted map, no matter what I try.
