So you find a bile jar, and you hear an incoming horde. You toss it and easily kill off the zombies, and continue playing like normal....until when there's a running event like Dark Carnival and you realize that if you had saved that bile jar, you could have easily speed through the event. This guide will teach you on how to not only save your grenades, but to learn how to conserve in general Left 4 Dead 1/2.

-Whenever a horde appears. (It has to be a HUGE horde. Only use a molotov on a small horde when on expert when your team needs to have a moment after a tank attack or an event.)

-A tank spawns in

-To mess up death charges or set ups
This is VERY useful on versus. This is because on the rooftops in the campaign No Mercy, the infected team can easily set up an attack involving a death charge. (Death charge means to aim at a survivor, charge and send them off the map. Look up some YouTube videos or versus guides to learn more about the death charges.)

Once you toss the molotov up on the spawned infected, they can burn out and have 2 options:

1: Burn out

2: Force in an attack


-Whenever your teamate(s) are boomed

-A horde appears

-During an event

-To clear an area quicker

Not much to say about the pipebomb, besides do NOT toss it at a tank. Yes, it stumbles it but it'll only tick off 50-100 dmg, and it won't be worth the waste.

-An event

-During the finale once evac arrives

That's basically it. You CAN use it on a tank, but it doesn't seem necessary to do so. (Unless it's on versus)
