The Actors Addon allows you to create NPC's that follow routes and plays animations. It can be used for lots of objectives, but was made with main focus on video creations, as it can provide Actors for your scenes.

This guide will help you to understand how this addon works and how to use it to achieve the best possible result.

The Actors Addon requires a Nav Mesh to work, as it uses the Garry's Mod's NextBot System. If you placed an Actor and it does not move from it's position, its likely that the map doesn't have a Nav Mesh, and for that, you'll need to create one.

To create a Nav Mesh, start the desired map, open up the console and type the following commands:

• sv_cheats 1
  
• nav_quicksave 1
  
• nav_generate

The generation of a Nav Mesh can be slow and take hours to complete depending on the map's size. Make sure that you'd 'googled' the ".nav" file for your map's name, as so, it's not necessary to generate one if it already exists for download.

Before using the Addon, certain factors need to be taken into account:

• The map NEEDS a Nav Mesh for the addon to work.
  
• Always press ENTER after a change in text fields, exiting the panel won't make the field value take into account without a ENTER.
  
• Always change the NAME of the actor when using more than one.
  
• When using the ADVANCED TAB, not all options work 100% perfect on certain models.
