Custom Music for Fairy Fencer F
By M@crobyte
The main purpose of this guide is to provide instructions to players on how to customize their music within the game. Credit goes to the Fairy Fencer Steam Forums Community. This guide will require an application that can play .ogg files and a program/website that can convert files to .ogg.

Step 1 (Backup your files)
- Most important step: BACKUP YOUR FOLDER. I seriously can't stress this enough. Just do it. This will save you a lot of time and issues later if you mess up.
- Folder: G:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fairy Fencer F\Sound\BGM
- Make a copy of BGM and place it in the Sound folder
- You should have 5 folders within the sound folder: JINGLE, VOICE, VOICE_EN, BGM, and BGM - Copy (or whatever you made the name for your copied folder)
Step 2 (Listen to the song)
This next step requires that you have a player that can play .ogg files. The purpose is to find the song that you are looking to replace:

- Open the BGM folder
- Select one of the files and listen to it in your .ogg file player
- There are 50 files in this folder, so I recommend putting it in some type of playlist and skipping to the one you are looking for.
Step 3 (Modify file name)
- In the BGM folder, make a copy of the song you want to copy and leave in the BGM folder.
- Write down the file name of the song you are trying to copy and then delete that file
- Change the file name of the song you wanted to use to the original name of the one in the folder

For the sake of having an example, I replaced 014.ogg (original Fairize song) with 019.ogg (Godly Revival Theme song). So, now that everytime I Fairize, I hear the modified song. See repeated steps below:

- Made a copy of 019.ogg and named it 019Copy.ogg
- Copied the name of the Original File 014.ogg and deleted the file from the folder
- Renamed 019Copy.ogg to 014.ogg

For custom music:

- Copy your custom .ogg file into BGM
- Copy the name of the original .ogg file and delete it from the folder
- Rename your custom .ogg file to the original .ogg file
Step 4 (Test it out in-game)
Test it out in-game. The .ogg files loop on its own if it comes to the end of the song.
FAQ
Q: Where can I find a program that plays .ogg files?
A: Windows Media Player is capable of playing the files, but requires additional codec downloads to do so. I would recommend using MPC-HC which is Media Player Classic. It's free and it comes with the neccessary codecs to play these files.

Q: Where can I find a program/website that converts .ogg files?
A: I am only familiar with http://audio.online-convert.com , but there are plenty of options if you google "Convert .mp3 to .ogg"

Q: HELP, I'VE BROKEN EVERYTHING AND HAVE LOST ALL HOPE!!!
A: If you followed Step 1, you should have a copy of the original folder with the music. If you know the file that is messed up, you can delete it and replace it with the original file. If you don't know which file it is, delete the modified BGM folder and replace it with the copied original folder. You also have the option of verifying your files through Steam.

Q: I feel that you have left out (Insert random thought here).
A: Leave the information in the comments section, and I will check it out as soon as I have the chance.

Q: Can I use the information you have supplied in this guide in my own guides?
A: Yes. If this information is helpful to you, by all means, use it.

@Cyber - I haven't run into this issue. But, if you have a custom audio remixer like SoundForge, you could just extend the song to however long you needed and it would have the same affect.

Music does not loop on its own everywhere. Original .ogg files (all but one IIRC) have a specific Vorbis tag defining loop points, which custom .ogg files don't have. You can see it if you open them in foobar2000 audio player for example.
