Intro

Hi all. Welcome to another one of my guides, I hope you'll find it an enjoyable read, if not informative. Please consider 'Liking', 'Faving', or sharing this guide, or even donate a small something; I don't do these these for monetary value but it's nice to be rewarded for one's efforts.

Anyway, down to business. This game is great; a solid Rogue-lite mixed with an incredible aesthetic, and it definately deserves more exposure than it does. The balance in normal mode is a little on the easy side but that all changes once you hit the higher difficultys.

You can follow me, and see the rest of my guides here:

Note: This is NOT a walkthrough to the game. It's simply tips to make the struggle that much easier.

Now without further ado, let's get on with it.
The long road ahead
First of all, this is one of "those" games. It wants you to play through the game at least twice, and I don't hold it against the devs. You should at least get your bearings in another difficulty before starting the game on the aptly named "Oiympian" mode".

Just kidding, you don't get a choice. You have to beat the game on any difficulty to unlock the hardest mode.

You can choose the difficulty settings in the menu. Be aware, once you leave the starting zone, you shouldn't tamper with the difficulty settings or you WILL void your achievements.

Stats
Olympian difficulty, compared to "Warrior" difficulty, is harder in the following ways:
  • No health recharge
  • Getting hit interrupts your attacks
  • Enemies deal 50% more damage
  • Enemies have 15% more health
  • Enemies have 50% faster attack speed

Basically, things are how I hoped the game would be like from the get go. Call me masichist, I enjoy the tough rogues.
Things you should know:
No Auto Heal
This does effect gameplay as much as you'd think, as the amount of weapon and health crates and chests you will come across will basically sure you are always fully stocked up on potions and armour.

Boss Fights
Even on normal mode [Warrior], the bosses are more of a test of your patience than your skills, with some exceptions. Posiedon, Zeus, and Ares might pose a challenge.
Most of the time it will come down to the load out you bring. Stock up hard on health potions and other endurance enhancing items. Resistance potions do even less, but they might save your life once or twice, especially in the harder bosses where their attacks will knock you across the map.

[Optional] Donate!
If this guide helped you out, and you would like to say thanks, throw something my way.
Of course this is not necessary however; It just gives me a little more insentive to write and edit more in the future!
