UB: Hall of Heroes
Asgardian Empire unique replacement for the Library. Eliminates the Sceince bonus, but gains +1 Production per 2 Citizens, and +2 Faith. 1 Maintenance.

Check out these other mods in the Super Civs family (none of these are included in any other mod or mod pack):
Religions Pack

Version History:
v4 - Probably a couple small changes/fixes. Added a standalone Religions mod, and updated some existing civs' religious preferences.
v3 - Added war and peace music! Added support for a number of popular mods. Keep in mind, I've never played with any of them, so let me know if there are any bugs related to them, or if certain leader behaviors are inappropriate. Also let me know what other mods you'd like support for.
v2 - Enlarged alpha and flag icons. Removed the dependency on BNW and G+K. Fair warning, most of these still need one or both of them, but I don't have the time or will to test any of that, so use at your own risk/discretion.
v1 - The very first release! Yay!

This mod is just one of many mods based on superheroes and villains from both the Marvel and DC universes. Check out the packs this mod is included in:
Super Civs - Complete Pack
Super Civs - Marvel Pack
Super Civs - Marvel Heroes Pack

Compatability
Support provided for: Civ 4 Traits; JFD's User Settings, Civilopedia, CiD, Cultural Diversity, ExCE, Mercenaries, and RtP; R.E.D.; Map Labels
All of my mods should be perfectly compatible with other mods. Let me know if there are any conflicts.

@Tomhetterscheid, damn, that's a good idea too. I made the shield-brother so I could use the Warriors Three as the icon, and I still like that. But I'm making versions for Civ 6, and if I add an alternate leader for Asgard, like Valkyrie, they'll almost certainly have one of those units as a unique.

You should chane Shield-Brother to Valkyrie or Berserker

Oh ok

@DarkMagickDragon, well, more to the point I suppose, this is just one of MANY comic-themed civs I made. From marvel alone I've made Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, and Wolverine, just to name the heroes. In all, I've got 24 comic-themed civs :D

/shamelessselfpromotion

I know I was just wondering why you chose to make a comic themed version Civ is a (somewhat) historical game so I was just wondering

@DaMagickDragon, because this isn't Thor from mythology, this is Thor from Marvel's comics. There are very noteable differences. One of them being that there was never a flotaing Asgardian city on Earth after literal Ragnarok in mythology. Not that it's represented in the mod much, just saying.

Why comic style and not mythology style?

@Silverfishv9, Every citizen in a City gives 1 Science per turn just by existing. A Library increases that to 1.5, and a Public School increases it to 2. Most other Science buildings and boosts are percentage-based (like the Observatory), and so rely on the base Science output of a City to be at least decently high, so that they can multiply them even further. (there are a handful of other base Science sources, such as Jungles with a University or Academies)

So, Asgard starts well ahead in the tech scene, but in the long run their lack of the Library bonus should set them back enough to neutralize that by mid- or end-game without crippling them. Though, with the extra Production, they can easily build the buildings (and Wonders!) they need to keep their lead in the game. In theory, it should end up being pretty balanced, but if you play a full game and see otherwise in practice, do let me know. I hardly have the time to play full games as every civ I make. That would take forever.

so... how much of a civs science comes from libraries? Poor asgard might start ahead in tech but without that they'll fall far behind in no time. Poor asgard will be banging sticks while everyone else is flying.
