Pyroland Protector Weapons Pack

Description
Various weapons from my 2012 Saxxy entry, "Whole Wheat Hardcase".

No action movie would be complete without a good compliment of weapons. Firearms, bats, fists, and explosives included. When I made my Saxxy video back in the day, pretty much every weapon made for the original film was "barely" functional, and they served more as minor props than actual believeable weaponry. If you go back and watch the video, it becomes pretty apparent how poorly made they are when stacked up against regular TF2 weapons.

That was then, this is now. I trashed the old weapons and started from scratch, giving each one just about as much attention as I would an official TF2 workshop item. Each character in the Heroes and Villains pack(those with arms at least) have weapon bones for binding the various weapons into their hands. They also come with some basic binding animations, so you can quickly mount a hand pose for each weapon type. Most of these weapons are also ambidextrous, meaning you can bind each weapon to either hand for things like left-handed wielding or "guns akimbo".

Finally, each weapon, with the exception of the brass knuckles, has been roughly scaled up for various members of the TF2 team. Sniper can use the tommy gun, Spy can use the police revolver, etc. Please note that this feature is provided "as is". Some guns may require a small amount of tweaking, others may require more.

Notes

c_police_snub_nose.mdl - Sandvich's "Detective Special":

-Sandvich's trusty police revolver.
-Based on a 1960's "Colt Detective Special" revolver, often a standard firearm for policeman of that era.
-Has bones for spinning the chambers, ejecting the chamber, and removing the bullets as a group.
-Has a variant that can be used by the Spy.

c_brass_knuckles_candy.mdl - Thug's Brass Knuckles:

-A pair of solid brass knuckles. Thug's weapon of choice.
-Does not have finger holes, I didn't bother making them.

c_candy_roll_bat.mdl - Hood's Candy Roll Bat:

-A giant candy bat. Hood's preferred weapon.
-Based on a half-opened "Tootsie Roll" candy.
-Has a variant that can be used by the Scout.

c_pineapple_grenade.mdl - Money's Pineapple Grenades:

-A comical pineapple-shaped hand grenade. Money's favorite explosive.
-Based on the MK2 grenade, often referred to as a "pineapple" grenade. It's a pun.
-Has a variant that can be used by the Soldier.

c_police_shotgun.mdl - "Mossberg":

-A police shotgun, used by various members of the Pyroland PD.
-Based on a 1960's "Mossberg 500", a riot shotgun frequently used by police officiers of that era.
-Has bones for pumping the shotgun and reloading ammunition/ejecting shells.
-Has a variant that can be used by the Engineer, Pyro, Heavy, and Soldier. This variant is listed as _engineer only.

c_tommy_gun.mdl - "Tommy Gun":

-Based on a 1920's Type C 100-round Thompson Machine Gun, often associated with mobsters of the early 20th century.
-Has bones for the ironsights, the drum magazine, and the "hammer" on top of the gun.
-Has a variant that can be used by the Sniper.

Miscellany:

-Weapon variants that support TF2 team members will require some adjustment. While the guns were made with special attention to the TF2 team's proportions, ultimately they are weapons intended for the Pyroland Protector characters. Some guns will require little adjustment. Others may not even bind properly to certain weapon bones.

-VERY IMPORTANT: If you are binding the weapon to a character, ONLY lock and bind the root transform and weapon_bone. DO NOT LOCK ANY OTHER BONES. Otherwise, your weapon will collapse upon itself when you bind it.

-As stated before, each character in the Pyroland Protector pack that uses the white cartoon arms will have a list of animations for posing each weapon. It makes a handy jumping off point for weapon animating. If you want to do weapons akimbo, select and import sequence on each arm independently.

I'm not sure, this is a very old pack, so my memory is very rough. I may have imported the sniper smg sequences and motion editored the hands into the right spots.
