Introduction
The M2A2 is a very strange tank indeed, but it is also considered one of the worst tanks in War Thunder. This is because it doesn't actually have a cannon, but instead fitted with a 12.7 mm (50. Cal) machine gun and a 7.62 mm (30. Cal) machine gun. It was a tank more designed for dealing with Light Vehicles (Not Tanks) and Infantry. Another reason why this tank is labeled as the worst tank in War Thunder is because of the weird 2 turret system, the whole left side of the tank has the more powerful and effective 12.7mm (50. Cal) machine gun, while the whole right side of the tank is only fitted with the weaker and less effective 7.62mm (30. Cal) machine gun. But with this guide, i'd like to get people much more aware and cling onto the M2A2 much more.

Note:
If the 7.62mm (30. Cal) machine gunner dies, the 12.7mm (50. Cal) machine gunner will replace him and leave the more effective 12.7mm (50. Cal) machine gun unoperational. Making the whole left side of the tank undefended, and using just the 7.62mm (50. Cal) machine gun will not do much to anything.

Armor
Roughly Average Armor for a 1.0 Tank, but all 1.0 tanks WILL penetrate you from ALL sides with ease. All of them, so be careful!

Front Armor:
Front Slope: 20mm Effective Thickness
Front Driver View Ports/Hatches: 15mm Effective Thickness
Side Armor:
Side: 13mm Effective Thickness
Turret Armor:
Turret (All around): 15mm Effective Thickness
Back:
Back: 6mm Effective Thickness

Ammo
12.7mm machine gun (50. Cal)
Key =
M2 Armor Piercing Bullet (Most Pen)
M20 Armor Piercing Incendairy Bullet (Most Damage)
Ammo Type
Penetration
Rounds
Universal
28mm
x1 M1 Incendairy, x3 M2 Armor-Piercing, x1 M1 Tracer
API
28mm
x2 M8 Armor-Piercing Incendairy,x1 M20 Armor-Piercing Incendairy Tracer
AP
28mm
x4 M2 Armor-Piercing, x1 M20 Armor-Piercing Incendairy Tracer
APIT
28mm-27mm
x4 M20 Armor-Piercing Incendiary Tracer

I Recommend AP or API to be the best Ammunition belt of choice.
X-Ray
As you can see, one good shot straight in the middile of the tank can easily wipe out all of the crew. A shot at the left side of the tank will kill both the Driver and The Commander (50. Cal Gunner), the two most important Crew members. A shot at the right side of the tank will kill the Aimer (30. Cal Gunner) and the Machine Gunner (Some random gunner next to the driver that doesn't do anything)

(REMEMBER: If the Aimer is killed, The Commander (50. Cal gunner) will replace the Aimer and switch to using the 30. Cal from the far better 50. Cal)
Tactics/Info
(NOTE: Make sure you're playing in 1.0 BR Battles!)
Rank: I
Battle Rating: 1.0
Engine Power: 270 hp at 2400 rpm
Max Speed: 72 km/h
Reload Speed: 10.4 s
Fire Rate: 576 Shots per minute
Best Enviorment: Urban

This tank is great for up-close flanking. Hide behind cover, draw an enemy close to you, and then dash out and drive circles around him while shooting him in the sides. Use API or AP.
Remember, this IS a Light Tank.
This is one of my favorite BR 1.0 tanks to play. So agile, lots of fun once you get to know how to use it right.

Going at a very fast speed can be very dangerous, but the fast speed can be very good at getting to the cap as quick as possible before the enemy does. (Suicide Capping in Arcade) Although, if you mess up and hit something going 72 km/h, your tank will be damaged and some of your crew will die upon Impact.

If you're in a 1.0 BR battle (like you're supposed to be) you will go up againest BT-5s, T-26s, T-60s, Pz.35(t)s, Pz. II Cs and Pz II Fs (M2A4 and Even other M2A2s if in Arcade) Some of which have roughly the same armor as you, but some other tanks can even go to 30mm of armor (which you cannot Penetrate) at the front of it. Which is why flanking is important! The sides and back of all 1.0 tanks you will be able to penetrate, flanking will be key to complete sucess of every battle you encounter.
Final Words
Have fun on the battlefield of War Thunder!
I hope this guide helped you for knowing your M2A2 much more and be able to use it much more effectively in 1.0 Battles! :)

(But this guide is really mean't to be aimed at Newbies who really want to know their tanks well enough to become pros!)

Make sure you leave a like! I mean, it's free and it'll help this guide reach more and more newbies. So why not right? :3 Thank you! <3

I find that the 7.62's turret really limits this tank. It would have been nicer to have the m2a1 which just had the 50cal turret.

The essence of this tank is in crew-killing. The MG makes short work of crew, so don't just shoot the same spot constantly - spread your shots around all the crew positions.

M2A2 light tank is like your younger sisters/brothers, they are so cute that you can't kill them and so, you protect them and you bully them (but not so much)

Once I met one with my IS-3 in a realistic battle, I have no idea why its been there or why i stopped right infront of me and started shooting my tank, but because im a nice guy I didnt kill him, he´s been the only one that survive the whole match becaus it took cover right behind my tank xd
