@MartinFrimley Sadly yes. After gaining more experience at this game, i have found that you need to make the intersections as far away from each other as possible, so trains have more space.

In practice, this sadly didn't work as the diagonals are too close together and it gets log jammed very easily! I have a particularly heavy cargo routing map... something I've been experimenting with and this, unfortunately, failed to handle very heavy amounts of cargo trains

I have been using BloodyPenguin's Double Track Cargo Station to control train traffic so outside trains never enter my city, but this is very clever! Congratulations on figuring out a layout with all junctions separated enough to hold a whole train so that you will not get any clogged intersections and every one of the tracks able to switch to every other track at will. Big thumbs up for being clever.
