My name is Oliver Qu--sorry, Xenosaj, and after two years of SDK hell I have returned to the Workshop with only one goal: to release this map. But to do that, I couldn't be the novice mapmaker I once was. I had to push the boundaries of zombie maps beyond what has been done before, to come up with something new and exciting. I had to become someone else...some /thing/ else... Here's the result--I hope you enjoy it. :)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is a 64-player zombie survival map based on Midtown Manhattan from Marvel Heroes. Like my previous MH-inspired entry, the X-Men mansion, my goal was an aesthetically pleasing map but one that went further than my previous efforts, and I believe I've met that goal. There are quite a number of pre-barricaded positions to hide in and defend from, both indoors and out. Due to the number of entities used in the map, there are a limited number of physics props (i.e. vending machines) for players to use. However, this is made up for by the presence of...

SUPERPOWERS!

Inside Avengers Tower you'll find 12 different abilities waiting to be used:
--Cyclops: Optic Blast
--Cable: Hyper Viper Beam
--Captain America: Shield Toss
--Thor: Hammer Toss
--Iron Man: Repulsor Blasts
--Scarlet Witch: Area of Effect Burn
--Quicksilver: Runspeed
--Invisible Woman: Invisibility
--Nightcrawler: High Jump
--Magneto: Magnetic Shield
--Doctor Strange: Area of Effect Slow
--Hulk: HULK SMASH

Some are offensive while others are defensive or utility. Try them all! Instructions are in the lobby of Avengers Tower. There's also three flight abilities elsewhere in the city, but you'll have to unlock them first.

And in case the zombies are feeling left out, I've included two abilities for them as well:
--Green Goblin: Goblin Glider (flight)
--Loki: Summon Illusions (summon all zombies to your location)
Unlike the human powers, both of these are locked until 1 minute into the round and respawn upon player death so that others can obtain the abilities.

There are two piloted vehicles in the map for additional fun: a Quinjet in Central Park for the humans, and a Sentinel for the zombies which can roam the city streets. There are a number of Marvel easter eggs to find, including a special surprise from Deadpool if you find him, and even ones for a scarlet speedster and a verdant archer. There are also several hidden rooms/spaces, secret ladders, and if you managed to read this far there may or may not be a super-secret hidden superpower that even a mad titan would love.

Please leave any constructive criticism and feedback you have. I know it's a larger-than-usual map, both in in-game size and in filesize (336MB), but I wanted to put as much into it as I possibly could. I tested it as thoroughly as I could, and the only odd visual effect I know of is the slight areas above the func_areaportalwindows (the white 'walls' between some buildings that disappear when you get close) where you can see through the world. Small price to pay for greatly increased fps. But if you come across any missing models or textures, any major glitches, especially anything that causes the map to crash, please comment and leave as much information as you can, screenshots as well.

Dante you should shut up ! read his description first , then try to google about Zombie Mod for csgo. Don't try acting like a no brain kid.

You had no appropriate criticism and apparently didn't read what I wrote. Have you actually played on a zombie map server? Players don't turn into zombies right away, there's a grace period at the start of every round to give players time to either find a hiding spot on zm or start their escape on ze. Decompile any zombie map out there, most if not all have both CT and T spawn in the same place. For ze it makes logical sense for map progression; for zm it's more efficient on the map maker. For this map in particular, it meant one less entity to keep track of and eat up my entity limits.

If you tried to play this game in any mode or on any server other than a zombie mod server, then yeah, your complaint would be valid. If you read the description for the map, you'd realize that doing so would be in error as it is designed to work specifically on zombie mod. Sorry if you don't get that.

So you wanna play that game huh? So much for accepting appropriate criticism. Please educate yourself in some common sense when modding then, you don't give the excuse oh spawn of teams in same place normal just survive? Common sense tells ya thats not how it works, grow up kid an quit acting immature. :steamfacepalm:

This is a zombie mod map, meant to be played on a zombie mod server, not in offline mode. Of course no zombies are going to spawn, those are players that the mod team-swaps. Please educate yourself about this mod before making more ignorant comments on my maps.

Would be great if not for no zombies spawn but main issue is both sides spawning same spot. Needs work but looks great.
