Climate Tweaks

Description
Hi there,

This is a simple mod that alters the progression of climate change in the game.

Fertility change vanilla

400 -1
420 -2
432 -3
445 -4

Fertility change modded

400 -1
420 -3
432 -2
445 0

So fertility drops pretty low when Attila takes the reins, although not as low as the final climate change in vanilla, and then slowly recovers back to normal. I think that makes the game more interesting since you now don't have to necessarily spam fisheries and goat pens.

Enjoy!

UPDATE 12/12/2015

The latest patch hasn't influenced this part of thr campaign, so this mod should still work as advertised.

Anyone know if this mod works with the fertility increasing sanitation buildings mod?

plausible and more historical though we can not calculate the climate change accurately at that time

Great idea! But does it need a patch? Climate change is struck at -3

Are you able to reduce snow effects on the campaign map once fertility comes back?

Is snow decline included like Maxsilv suggested? Would make the campaign far more interesting while you don't have the late game artrition!

Is this save game compatible?

Hi, is this mod compatible with Radious?

Work as intended in main campaign. Saved me the headache of replacing wheat fields with goat farms and quell rebellion all across formerly pacified lands.

Hello. I am interested by your mod, and I have noticed that you have a problem with the snow generation, which is not directly linked to the fertility file. I may have the solution. Actually, it is quite simple. In "terrain.pack" there is a folder 'campaigns\main_attila_map'. There, we have many dds files named snow_something. I am pretty sure that is the mask used for the campaign. Logically, if we remplace the late phase files by the first one, snow will return to its former position. With DDS Converter, it should be easy to change that. I am a modder too, then if I can help you, it will be a pleasure! (And please forgive my mistakes, as English is not my native language.)
