Welcome, I am Almighty Laxz and I have been propkilling since early 2010. I will attempt to teach you various propsurf/propkill skills necessary to survive on a propkill server. Most of the techniques you will find in this guide may seem difficult at first, however with practice they can become second nature to you.

In order to propsurf/propkill effectively, you will need to assign keys to spawn props. Spawning props through the spawnmenu during combat is highly ineffective, slow and will get you killed and likely laughed at.

In order to bind keys to spawn props you need to enable the developer's console if you haven't already. You can do this under Options>Keyboard>Advanced as shown below.

To access the console, press the ` key (next to 1).

To bind a key to a command follow this format:

In this case we are binding a key to "gm_spawn <model>" in order to spawn the desired prop model.

This is the prop you will use in order to kill other players most of the time. It is recommended you bind just one prop for attacking.

The most common attack prop is models/props/de_tides/gate_large.mdl


To bind it to a key, for example:
Above will bind the de_tides gate to f. Change the key according to your personal preference.

Alternatively you could use models/props_lab/blastdoor001c.mdl


Defense props are used to stop incoming props from other players.

The canal bars are commonly used for defense. models/props_canal/canal_bars004.mdl

Lockers are used for getting into smaller areas such as alleys where larger attack props won't fit. They can also be used to propsurf.

Wallhack, ESP and rotate scripts are essential to propkill. It is highly recommended you follow the instructions at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=574867837 or at http://pastebin.com/zUbG27Ps to download and set up the required scripts. Otherwise you may be able to find a script that does the same thing or make your own.

A quick way to get yourself banned is to spam props instead of undoing them when you finish with them. Get used to undoing your prop after surfing or killing someone for example.

By default, the scrolling speed of the physgun is very slow. Change it by typing:
You can choose a wheelspeed that suits you, although you should keep it under 100. If you set it to 99999 you will not be able to control your props and people will rightly laugh at you.

This section will teach you the basics of propsurfing.

The most simple technique. Stand on your surfing prop, physgun it and scroll inwards. It will result in you flying directly up, useful for getting to higher places such as roofs.

This is where the scripts you downloaded will come in handy. Make sure you have a key bound to "ms_rotate2".

Boosting is where you spawn a prop, use ms_rotate2 which will jump, turn your view 180 degrees and invert it so that you are looking upwards automatically. You will fly across a distance. Additionally, you can use the A and D keys to "airstrafe" and control the direction you fly in if the server's sv_airaccelerate is over 50 or so.

Used in combination with boosting, coastering is a way of extending airtime while retaining as much velocity as possible. Simply spawn and freeze a rollercoaster track underneath where you are about to land to extend your boost.

Spidering is a mid-air boost after birding. Before reaching the top of the map scroll the prop out, do a quick 180 and scroll in.

A variation on the regular spider. Instead of scrolling out, you simply get to the top of your bird and then walk forwards.

Reboosting is where while boosting you spawn a locker in front of yourself on the ground and use the ms_rotate2 to propell yourself in the opposite direction.

While boosting, you can bring a surfing prop up from the ground to extend your air-time.

Spawn your attack prop, pick it up, scroll out, let go. It's that simple.

Due to their size, lockers can fit into tight spaces such as alleyways where regular attack props cannot.

Spawning props on the ceiling of the map allows you to counter people birding.

Spawning a prop mid-air enables you to swat people out of the air.

Now that you have learned most of the useful techniques in propkill and propsurfing, you need to practice.
