Cossacks color fix for Windows 7

American Conquest & Cossacks games have some issues with new operating systems (OS), many people experience color issues running the game on Windows 7, fortunately this can easily be fixed.

This guide will help you fix the color issue with the game running on Windows 7.

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below:

Open a Notepad on your desktop.
Copy the codes from the box below and paste them in the Notepad.

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe dmcr.exe start explorer.exe
After having the codes in the Notepad "save as" choose "all file types" and name it "Dmcr.bat" then click "save".
Note: Ending with .bat is important.
Now move the "Dmcr.bat" file you have created to your game directory, e.g "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cossacks Back to War"
Run the game via the "Dmcr.bat" file you have put in the game directory.
Note: If you still see some color issues, on the menu screen, press Alt+Tab to return to desktop, and then press Alt+tab again to get back to the game.
