Introduction
The beta branch is an opt-in version of Codename CURE which will receive the latest changes for testing purposes, changes introduced here will eventually be made available to the "live" branch when they are deemed suitable / stable.
Opting in (Client)
To opt into the beta client, simply use the steam beta tab via the properties menu.

Right click on Codename CURE, and select "Properties":

The properties dialog will appear, select the "betas" tab, and click on the drop down:

**Note that the code field is not needed for this**

Select "beta - Public beta test branch" from the drop down:

That’s it, steam will now download the beta version of the game. To revert back to the live version simply repeat this process instead selecting "NONE - opt out of all beta programs".

If you run into issues with switching branches try to "verify local game cache" (available in "local files" tab) before posting on the forums.
Opting In (Dedicated Server)
The beta dedicated server can be downloaded by simply including "-beta beta" in the SteamCMD install parameters, like so:
app_update 383410 -beta beta validate

If you want to know how to setup a dedicated server see the full guide here:

FAQ
What is the Beta branch?
The beta branch contains experimental changes that require testing before they can added to the live version. It can be thought of as a preview for future updates.

What is the beta code?
There is no beta code, that section in the properties menu is for private betas only (this is a public beta), after selecting "beta - Public beta test branch" in the dropdown the game will start to update.

What are the changes?
Lists of changes can be found in the news section in posts titled "CURE BETA".

Why is this needed?
So that you can test the upcoming changes, and help make the next live update more stable by reporting bugs. Please use this sub-forum to do so:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/355180/discussions/6/

Can I play on normal servers while testing the beta branch?
Unfortunately not (in most cases), normally there will be changes that cause incompatiblity. Don't let that prevent you from helping test it though, you can always switch back to the live branch at any time as mentioned eariler in this guide.
