This guide will help you make people pissed at you in a multyplayer setting it is also verry handy for getting some money if you need it bad

Before you do this- for this to work you will need to be making some GPT and also have met a civilization that has some gold in it's stores already

FIRST- Make a declaration of friendship with the other player, if at first they don't accept offer them some GPT to persuade them into the deal

SECOND- Tell them that you need some gold up front but will give them some GPT to compensate

THIRD- Offer them a deal that is too good to refuse where you offer them all of your GPT and ask for some of their gold EX. 20 GPT (25 turns) for 400 gold

FORTH- After you make the trade declare war on them, your GPT will be returned to you but you will keep the gold that you got in your trade.

NOTE: This will make this player hate you so don't do it if they can crush you militarily

There's a better way to accomplish the same thing without going to war. What I do is similar to what your guide explains, but can be accomplished by making a trade deal to trade a luxury resource, then building a fort on top of the luxury resource after the deal is made. Then when you advance to next turn, the deal is cancelled and you keep their gold. This can be repeated every other turn on whichever civ you've met that has the most gold. The turns in between you are changing your fort back into a plantation to set up the next steal. You also can only develop ONE of whichever luxury resource you choose to make your deals with. Otherwise the deal will go through. So I place a permanent worker on one luxury resource deposit to do my deals with and build forts on all the other deposits of the same resource. Then the only other thing you have to do is make sure you don't conquer or do any deals with a city state and obtain that luxury resource, or again the deals will go through.
