Introduction
Recently* my wife and I descended into apost zombie apocalyptic game of some potential, and in our adventure to learn more about the game we will be working on developing a guide to help out any gamers that survive us in this horrific fictional environment.

Ratings are appreciated!

* This guide started while the game was in Steam Early Access Alpha, and would have continued to evolve with the game until it died, which it did under the new name of Just Survive. The contents of this guide are now obsolete.
A Game de-Evolved
This game continually evolved and went through several changes directed by an ever declining player base which led to the games extinction in October of 2018. The gamers that own the game are no longer able to play it or use any of the skins they purchased or acquired through gameplay. With that said, this game guide is also obsolete, and we will no longer be adding any content unless the game somehow rises from the ashes of it's apparent digital death.

First things first.
When you first get into the game weather it's in pvp or pve you need to find a place to loot. But if you're in a pvp server anything goes that means you can be killed by other players. You can find guns almost anywhere but they are useless enless you can find the correct ammo which is never easy. You spawn in with a Satchel now so no need to craft one when you spawn in. Having a satchel will allow you to carry more items, but not as many as a backpack, military backpack or survival backpack.

Next thing your going to want to do is find a place to call yours by crafting a metal shack or building a foundation. The metal shacks now come with doors when crafted, place the door in the entryway and set an access code on it(by doing this you can lock it and no one can steal your stuff). After you do that you should craft a storage container to put all your loot in. The foundations will take more time to build up, because you will need to wall them in to hold out the horde, so starting with a shack will give you a safe area to work out of to start building a bigger base.
Survival Mode (PVE)
When playing in a PVE sever or Survival Mode, other players can't hurt you or kill you. As the picture will show you can shoot at each other but no harm happens.

Our daughter Maddie with an arrow in her chest.

Now the granades on the other hand (which you can always find at the truck stop or gas stations) still do no damage to others but they dont really have an effect on the zombies enless its a frag granade. The smoke ones and the flash just aggrevate them more.

If you want to be able to carry a lot of stuff I recomend finding a millitary backpack those can be found in the dam or in the police staions in Pleasant Valley & Cranberry.

Now the Millitary base (B5) has a over load of vehicles part spawns but may or may not have vehicles. Vehicles are very hard to find in a PVE server due to the fact people find 3 or more and horde them. If you plan to try and look for a vehicles your going to want to build a base first with a ground tamper and/or a deck foundation with a ramp. Make sure you put up walls and a gate or just anyone can steal your stuff.
Survival Mode (PVP)
When delving into PVP mode, just remember to stay alert and keep your head down, move slower then you would on a PVE server when collecting loot and when you've acquired what you feel you need to get into the action, go hunting for other players! It's really that simple, just keep your head in the game and watch an area for a bit before moving into it.
Hospital & Millitary Base [Z1]
The Hospital is the newest location they have added to the game as of Oct. 2015. Its located just North of the Millitary base and Pleasant Valley. In this section my primary focus is going to be on what these locations have to offer and what things you might happen to run into.

Hospital: Location B3
Now as you may have noticed when looting houses or other buildings you find locker keys, these keys are used to open lockers up at the hospital. These lockers can contain ammo, medical suppiles, and scrubs. You can also find Gator shoes on shelves in the hospital.

Millitary Base: Location B5
This spot is idea if your looking for vehicle parts like turbos & headlights. You will also find a ton of baseball bats and tactical gear and clothing which ranges from millitary scrubs to tan gilly suits. Another great item you might get lucky to find in this location is millitary backpacks and granades. Also note that the zombie population is minimum in this area but they are there, and they have a hard time getting in due to the blockades. With the millitary scrubs, if you find all 3 peices, you can craft a permanent account-bound skin which is shown in the screen shots. *

It's a Jeep thing
When the misses and I started playing H1Z1, we instantly fell in love with finding Offroaders (also known as the obvious unlicenced Jeep Wrangler model) and just driving them around until we either got them back to base or wrecked them in a spectacular display of fire and smoke.

Above is an offroader sitting on one of our bases we built near the church on the Z1 map.
Contributors
As before mentioned, the two of us collaborated on this project. Although we both have given input on the sections we have written and possibly done some minor editing to each others work, we both firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due. Also, as a reader, it might be good to know who's point of view you are reading. Thus, this section is simply meant to inform you of which contributor wrote the other sections of this guide.
