Introduction to different ways to progress into Dragon Saga:
This section will shortly introduce you to every PvE ways that will help to progress through your adventure.
You can check at any time the requiered XP untill the next level by moving your cursor over the XP bar.

Quests
Aren't quests one of the most important parts of a RPG and its lore?
Besides learning the lore of Dragotaka, they will give you equipements and an important amount of XP at low level!

Note : You'll need to do some of the Hero quests (the red ones) in order to open F6 and F7 modes. (See below)

Arcade mode: F1 & F2 / Dungeon
In Arcade mode and dungeons, you'll earn equipements to gear your character, money to upgrade them, but also some decent amount of XP (especially at low level.)
You will receice an increase in XP from the Arcade mode when doing the same map in a row without disconnecting.

F6, the Defense mode
Level requiered:
  • For openning a F6* : 25
  • For participating in a F6*: 20
*This excludes events and special items that allows you to go into this mode at level 1.
In this mode, you will encounter tons of monster flooding from left and right, trying to destroy the stone that you have to protect.
This mode gives a very high quantity of XP, but not as much as F7 does.
Why this mode is popular is because it is available at level 25 (Steven Trading Port) and at higher level, it can give you some very powerful rings!

Note: You need to complete the Hero quest chain related to the map in order to open a defense mode session.

F7, the Tactical Defense mode (AKA the Tower Defense mode)
Level requiered*: 40
*This excludes events and special items that allows you to go into this mode at level 1.
This is the mode you probably are going to do for leveling above the level 40. This mode is the best way to level up in Dragon Saga!
It is basicly a (too) simple Tower Defense where your character will be able to interact
The popularity of this mode comes from the fact that the game needs a lot of grinding above the level 50, and leveling without F7 could take several days, or even a week to level up (without any XP boost!)

Note: You need to complete the Hero quest chains that unlocks the Tactical Defense mode (there are 3 parts), asides with the Hero quest chain related to the map in order to open a defense mode session.

Daily Hunter G / Guild quests
    Level requiered:
  • For Guild quests: 20
  • For Hunter G quests: 25
These quests can give a huge amount of XP!
The more quest you'll do the same day, the more xp you'll get.
The first daily quest will give you the average xp of any kind of random quest where all you have to do is to talk to a NPC, but it will become way more interesting if you keep doing them!
The 2nd quest will reward you twice the XP of the first one, and the 3rd quest will reward you thrice the XP of the first one, and so goes on...
(You can do up to 10 Hunter G quest and 10 Guild quest everyday).

Rewards from Hunter G and Guild quests (each quest will grant one of the following items) :
Common item 1
Common item 2
Common item 3

How to get more XP ?
There are many tips in this game if you want to level up in no time, check out how !

Total XP rate increase
This one is the most important of all.
Every XP bonuses increase a certain amount of XP based on the base XP rate.
But if a total XP is there, then you will earn more XP than you could ever have !
They usually come every weekend (Usually Fri~Sun), or for some specific reasons.
Each of these days will have a total XP rate set usually beetween X2 and X3 (Or more if there is a special event) !

Channel boost
Choosing which channel you are playing is very important.
Indeed, each channel can change the amount of xp you'll earn !

Whenever you are tired from exploring the world of Dragotaka, always think about going to the Port of Winds !
It will gradually grant you a 50% exp boost for the next exp you'll earn from monsters !

Notes :
  • Rest buff can be stacked until it boosts your exp for the next 150% of level XP you will earn !
  • Using a different wallpaper and floor for your house will make your resting exp grinding faster.
They can be obtained through events or in the Cash Shop.

XP Device
XP Devices are a new consommable item that works like an XP potion.
These one can be crafted by gathering first ingredients in the Windy Farm whenever having the requiered ingredients. You can also find them on the market at a cheap price.
The amount and the requiered level for using a device depends on the level of the production.
E.g :
  • XP Device X1,2 can only be used at level 20 or above.
  • XP Device X1,3 can only be used at level 30 or above.
    ...
  • XP Device X1,8 can only be used at level 80 or above.

Each XP Device have a duration of 30 minutes. It can be stacked with any other XP buff.
Dying doesn't remove the effect.

Friend Points
This is some additional XP that you will earn if you are in a party with one of your friends !
Everytime one of you kill a monster that gives XP to both of you, you will receive 3 % of the base XP.
1 FP means 1 XP, and every 100 FP requieres 1 copper to convert.

Note that only one XP potion can be used at a time. They aren't removed upon dying or disconnect and the duration does not decrease while being disconnect. You may have to use XP potions before using a Jack Bean in order to stack the buffs.

Using Chocolate Factory XP sweets (Event item)
The Chcolate Factory is open every Febuary. However, there is sometimes a special event to get the sweets.
These potions can be stacked with the normal XP potions since they are different kind.
In order to get these sweets, first you need to get the recipe for them. And if you got recipe, then you need ingredients !
Here is the list of the different XP boost sweets:

Home buff
Using some specefic furnitures allows you to take some buffes, such as a 10 % or a 4 % XP buff. Both of them can be stacked at the same time.

Defense order (F6 and F7 only)
This buff is applied whenever you use a defense order scroll in a F6 or F7 of the same map. It will grant a 10 % XP buff. Having this buff will prevent you to use any other XP potion. This buff is removed when you leave the F6 / F7 or right click on it.

So you might have noticed that this guide didn't move much after its first releases. That is mostly because I lost all interest into playing this game and writing this guide.

I sometimes chill on the game when I feel like doing so, but as time passes I go online less often. So f you need help in game or would like this guide to be worked on, just write on the comments to let me know and I'll think about it :)
