Colonies

Description
SHORT VERSION
At its base, Colonies is basically an infection gamemode where everyone is the infector.


But there's more, so you should probably keep reading, I didn't write this out just to tell you what a beautiful day it was yesterday.(By the way it was a beautiful day yesterday)


LONG VERSION
At the beginning of a round, all players are spawned in on their own teams. Once you kill another player, they change to your team and are now your ally. The game ends once all players on the server have been changed onto your team. Once the round ends, a short 30 second break time occurs where players are given firework guns, confetti blasters, and a noise maker to celebrate. All players are given a default loadout with a primary smg, secondary pistol, a spore grenade, three barricade grenades, and a ammo regen power.

POWERS
Powers are abilities that players can use to help them in some way by either regen health, regen ammo, etc. Players can choose their ability by going to the loadout hud(F4) and choosing one of the abilities on the third scroll panel. Powers have a cooldown in which you have to wait before using the power again.

LOADOUT
The loadout hud is where players can choose different loadout items. Players can choose different primaries, secondaries, and powers.

TEAMS
The team HUD tells you who is on what team and how large a certain team is.

END GRAPH
The graph shown at the end of a round shows the struggle for power between the teams. Whenever someone's team changes, the graph shows the growth and decay of different teams.



KEY BINDS

[G] - Activates the power you have equipped
[TAB] - Shows the team HUD
[F4] - Shows the Loadout HUD

Heast hrgef@ Well, I do a lot of Lua coding with AI Player BOTs in my own gamemodes. If you are sure you want BOTs then comment here and i might do that, Since right now i have nothing to do...

Wow, this is a really cool concept I wish was more common in the workshop. Imagine a sandbox version of this where you could subvert an army of npcs :0

I've been checking out all these addons and gamemodes of yours, and I gotta say, I'd love to use some of the functionality they have in sandbox mode. Mainly the whole barricade deal. I'd love to be able to spawn breakable props (Barricade grenade is specially cool) and bolt them in with the nail gun in a limited and balanced way (not just by spawning shit from the sandbox menu)

You see, I'm trying to set up a collection of addons that allows one to quickly set up any map to become a zombie horde survival pseudo-gamemode type of deal. With weapon spawnpoints and everything. There will be classes, and one of them is the carpenter, who is basically the defensive guy.
