Fu Xi is the most conducive of the Chinese major gods to aggressive play. In addition to the general wood savings, Blessed Construction and cheaper buildings allow players to train soldiers earlier. This combines with cheaper line upgrades and an early hero advantage to give followers of Fu Xi a very strong Classical-Age military.

Early aggression isn't the only way to play as Fu Xi however, since his followers will be able to quickly respond to an enemy attack themselves. Additionally, the cheaper buildings can be used to build Gardens more quickly and rely less on villagers. This, as well as his god power and technology, allow players to stockpile food easily.

Monks that Heal and Convert
Gardens that give favour/other resources
8 ranged/melee "immortal" heroes

(get garden upgrade, villager upgrade 2&1)
Rush to fourth age
(get armory upgrades for almost free)
Destroy enemies with Vermillion Birds and Fire Lances

Terracotta warriors --> Pixiu --> Vermillion Birds
War Academy units --> Castle units

Nu Wa's bonuses are entirely economic, with an emphasis on getting more out of less. This allows players to recover easily from a bad start. Enemies will find early raids less effective, while animal attacks early on will be less punishing. Gardens provide stronger conveniences, especially in the early game. Finally, establishing an early Market will give the player an additional source of gold and make their economy harder for enemies to judge.

Oranos -> Prometheus + Hyperion is IMO better combo since it makes your Hero Destroyers both cheaper & almost unkillable with Hyperion's HP regen. Combine them with Fanatics (Hero) for ultimate lulz.

I agree with Hekate choice tho. Makes your Titan a great anti-Titan (defense) force as he can take down multiple ones if you give him a little cooldown inbetween :)

Anyway good job for writting your points down and sharing them with community.

Thanks yeah I know I need to rework the atlanteans to be honest! (Old school player here, played AoM most back when it was just released and before the atlanteans expansion)
Just made the guide to have a quick overview of which civilisation did what if I chose a random god etc.
But yes! Atlanteans do need reworing and I'll try your strategy next time, also need to figure out how to make the best use of their insane flexibility between regular human units and heroes...

Good guide. Just saw it and I'd like to say: Automatons are still pretty weak and can be countered. Most top players chose Prometheous and can spam Prometheans if needed, plus the free heroes gp and cheaper heroes tech will benefit you more in the long run. For Oranos/Kronos it's almost always been normal.
