Omikron wont start anymore - the solution

if you messed up with the options and Omikron wont start anyymore navigate to the Omikron folder:

X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Omikron\IAM\

Now delete the file:

GAMES

Restart your game.

Thats all

Notice: If that doesn't help you can also try to enable "Windows 98 compatibility mode".

Wenn Omikron nach einer falschen Einstellung in den Optionen nicht mehr starten sollte wechsle in den Spieleordner:

X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Omikron\IAM\

Nun folgende Datei löschen:

GAMES

Starte das Spiel wie gewohnt.

Hinweis: Sollte das Spiel trotzdem nicht starten aktiviere den Windows 98 Kompatibilitätsmodus.

Das ist alles

I think you can also enable Windows 98 compatibility mode.

I had the memory error. I went into the game folder and used the runtime.exe to start the game and it stared fine. Maybe the problem is something steam is doing.

yES ITS reset all the time.ive haved to reinstall the game ebecaouse noting is fix

Have you set the compatibility mode to windows XP or Windows 7?
And also check Run as Administrator.
This is a very old game and not optimized for current OS.

Set compatibility mode to windows XP or Windows 7 if you use Windows 10.

To set the compatibility mode navigate to the Omicron folder.
- Right-click the Runtime.exe and select Properties.
- Now select Compatibility tab, then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
- Check Run as Administrator.

Now the game should run.
