I´m trying to keep it simple for the newcomers but still detailed! :)

What you will need!
t´s really easy and simple to setup. There are no downloads etc. required.
All you need is:

• Console

If you have trouble opening your console follow these steps:
1. Start CS:GO
2. Options → Game Settings
3. Enable Developer Console → Yes
4. Options → Keyboard / Mouse
5. Scroll all the way down to "Toggle Console" and set a button you´d like.
How it's done!
So first of all I recommend you going on a private server, or rather a match against harmless bots.
You know what I´m trying to say. Get on a server where nobody will shoot you down.

Second of all, I wont give you recommended settings because I want you to try out the commands and pick what feels most comfortable for you. However at the end of this guide you will find my exact settings if you want to try them out!
cl_hud_radar_scale
With this command you will be able to change the size of your radar HUD.
LEFT:
cl_hud_radar_scale "0.8"

RIGHT:
cl_hud_radar_scale "1.3"

Minimum: "0.8" // Maximum: "1.3"
cl_radar_icon_scale_min
This command will make the icons on the radar smaller or bigger.
LEFT:
cl_radar_icon_scale_min "0.4"

RIGHT:
cl_radar_icon_scale_min "1.0"

Minimum: "0.4" // Maximum: "1.0"
cl_radar_scale
This command allows you to scale the map up or down. It will allow you to either see less or more off the map.
LEFT:
cl_radar_scale "0.25"

RIGHT:
cl_radar_scale "1.0"

Minimum: "0.25" // Maximum: "1.0"
cl_hud_bomb_under_radar
This command will either activate or deactivate a small icon under your Radar which will tell you when you carry the bomb and when not. Since people often don't realize they are carrying the bomb this command can come in quite handy.
LEFT:
cl_hud_bomb_under_radar "0"

RIGHT:
cl_hud_bomb_under_radar "1"

You can only choose between 0 and 1!
Default Settings
cl_hud_radar_scale "1"
cl_radar_always_centered "1"
cl_radar_icon_scale_min "0.6"
cl_radar_rotate "1"
cl_radar_scale "0.7"
cl_hud_bomb_under_radar "1"
