History and Background

Warcraft-Source Mod for EventScripts was started in 2006 by a coder named Kryptonite.
It was based off of WC3 by Pimpin Juice which was a warcraft mod for CS 1.6.
It went under a lot of development as it release public versions with Kryptonite at the helm of the coding team for WCS.
With it stopping official development towards the end of the 2008 at version .77.
A few times after a few people got together to make new versions of wcs mod.
Such was as Warcraft:Source Python was a complete recode of WCS into python for speed and stability.
This project was lead by Jeff91 and Freddukes and the project also stopped development a year later.
With the arrival of the Orange Box update a lot of addons and functions broke which was a big smack in our face,
but it also forced us to come up with all sorts of updates.
Hetal the current leader of the official Warcraft-Source.com assigned La Muerte to keep track of the site layout.
Now Tha Pwned has rewrote Warcraft Source: Shell in EventScripts: Python but still keeping its races coded in format similar to Warcraft Source: Shell's races, which granted the new recode to have great stability but keeping its same customizable grace as before.

Gameplay
The main focus of WCS is the race system also referred to as classes. the basic idea is to pick a race and then start levelling up their skills by gaining Experience. In a WCS server as a player plays they gain experience. Experience is granted on kills, assists, bomb planting and defusing the bomb.

SKILLS

Every race has a unique set of few skills (also referred to as talents). Skills range from passives bonuses to things that have to be activated manually. As a player levels their skills they gain the use of them in battle. Every time the player gains a level a menu will display on their screen. From this menu the player can level up their skills. Levelling up skills will increase their potency or effectiveness in some way. There’s normally a maximum to how high a skill can be levelled.Passive skills simply activate passively. While active skills have to be activated.

ABILITY AND THE ULTIMATE
There are 2 possible active skills: the ability and the ultimate. To use the ability players must put +ability in their console. To use the ultimate player must put +ultimate in their console. Since this is a tedious and time-consuming process that’s especially dangerous to perform in the middle of battle it’s recommended to bind a key to +ability and another for +ultimate. Not every race has an +ability skill but every race has an +ultimate skill.

Skills, abilities and ultimates can do variety of stuff. For example you can be invisible and get behind the enemy lines. You can fly and get the advantage by watching enemy team's movement from above. The possibilities are infinite.

NORMAL RACES AND KNIFE RACES

There are over thousands of different races but usually there are 2 types of races. There are Normal races that may use all sort of things (there are races that may only use one weapon for special reasons.) and Knife races that can only use knifes.
There are normally differences with the skills that both of these races have.
Normal races tend to have skills that make their guns more powerful (faster fire rate, more dmg)
and some small skills that make the user mobile. Knife races have skills that make them Highly mobile and do lot of damage with a knife. Reason for knife races having such high mobility is that knife races can only fight in close combat while normal races can shoot them from a far distance.

Keep in mind there are lot of creative race programmers so who knows how many or what kind of races are out there.

COUNTER PICKING A RACE
Counter picking a powerful race is a simple way to win but it can be more advanced too.
Basically every single race has weaknesses and strengths. What you have to do is to pick a race that can exploit them. Sometimes common sense is what you need but sometimes it's the experience that counts.
Most common example is : to counter something that is really fast is to pick something that can slow it. Mastering Counter picking will take some time but it's worth it.

Tips for countering

-If you type "playerinfo" in to the chat. you can see other people's races. you can also type "Raceinfo" to see what the races do.

SHOPMENU

Shopmenu is also a simple way to gain an advantage. Type "Shopmenu" in to the game chat and it will pop up. From there you can buy variety of different items by using the same money that is normaly used to buy guns with. (There might be more or different items in shopmenu depending on the server.)
Basically there should be 4 categories

-Offensive. (Mostly dmg buffs)

-Defensive. (Mostly defensive buffs)

-Enchantments. (Extra buffs and spells.)

-Experience. (Buyable XP bonuses)

All items in these categories can be used to gain an advantage. Most notable way is to buy "Ultimate immunity" from the defensive category. Some races do not allow to buy certain items and there might be limits on some items for balancing things out.

Tips for Shopmenu

-If you bind (key) "say shopmenu". it will give you quick access to shopmenu.
