Introduction
The purpose of this guide is to give a clear and concise overview of the requirements for earning all 26 achievements in the game and reaching that perfect 100% completion.

As the final game in the Braveland trilogy, the gameplay is nearly identical to the previous two installments. The only major differences are the fact that you can sail between several islands, making the game a bit less linear, and the fact that your hero now directly fights in combat as one of your five units.

The achievements are not too much harder than the previous games. Fortunately, there's no more needless grinding like in Braveland Wizard. Since the game requires two playthroughs (see the Peacemaker achievement), it should take about 15-20 hours for 100% completion.

Most achievements can be earned simply by playing through the story, but a few are missable.

With all that out of the way, let's begin!
Achievements
New Horizons
Page on Facebook or Twitter visited.

Like in the previous two games, click on either the Facebook or Twitter button on the menu screen.

Journey Begins!
Cabin Boys have joined you.

Cabin Boys are the first units who join your army. You'll encounter them immediately as you start the game on the small island.

Flawless Victory
You defeated the army without losing a single warrior.

Quite easy to do in the first few battles, even on hard difficulty. Just win a battle without any losses.

Trickster
Pirate trick learned.

Pirate
Six pirate tricks learned.

Swashbuckler
All pirate tricks learned.

The first pirate trick (hero ability) is learned automatically after reaching the second island (Tortuga). These tricks work much in the same way as the rage abilities in the original Braveland. Some of the tricks are acquired by defeating certain bosses, while others must be bought at various locations throughout the islands. There are ten tricks in total:
  • Pistol Shot – after arriving on Tortuga
  • Charge – after defeating Commander Fromm
  • Invigorating Brew – after defeating Davy Jones
  • Smokescreen – bought on Breton for 400 gold
  • Grenade – bought on Breton for 700 gold
  • Purveyance – after defeating Sir Rodrick
  • Black Mark – after defeating Big Drogo
  • Delivery – bought on Norfolk for 900 gold
  • Inspiration – after defeating Jarl Erik
  • Cannonade – after defeating Master Vizaris

Treasure Hunter
Looted 7 treasure chests and hidden caches.

Tomb Raider
Looted all treasure chests and hidden caches.

These caches aren't exactly hidden, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Treasure troves are found all around on the islands, usually on side paths guarded by monsters. The loot is often random, so you may find gold or an item inside a cache on one playthrough, but nothing on another playthrough.

Sea Devil
Davy Jones defeated.

Earned by defeating the boss on the second island (Tortuga).

Game of Thrones
Sir Rodrick defeated.

Earned by defeating the boss on the third island (Breton).

Cleaver Effect
Jarl Erik defeated.

Earned by defeating the boss on the fourth island (Norfolk).

Eternal Treasure
The Great Reaper defeated.

Earned by defeating the final boss on the treasure island. The boss has an absurd amount of health, so avoid engaging him for as long as possible and kill off all the other enemies. Use the Black Mark ability on the boss to take him down quicker. If you cleaned up the other enemies without too many losses, it shouldn't be too hard to kill him.

However, beware his Scythe ability which will destroy half of the targeted unit stack outright. You may get lucky and have him target your hero with the Scythe (only takes off half his current health) or have the attack whiff on the Cook's evasion ability. In any case, the fight shouldn't be too difficult.

Shadow of the Colossus
All the bosses defeated.

This includes all the main story bosses, as well as the two bosses on the secondary islands – Big Drogo on Barbados and Master Vizaris on Efa.

Champion
Game completed without using the easy level of difficulty.

Legend
Game completed using only the hard level of difficulty.

Earned by completing the game on hard difficulty without lowering it at any point.
Achievements (part 2)
Red Tag Sale!
Bought an item for hero.

Earned by buying an item at any store. Since the prices are quite high, there's no real incentive to buy anything because recruiting new units is more important. You can often find useful loot from stashes on the map anyway. Store items are randomized for each playthrough.

Equipped
All four equipment items on.

Fill all four equipment slots for your hero (weapon, boots, belt, accessory).

Traveler
Visited all islands.

There are seven islands in total: the small island you start on, the three main islands (Tortuga, Breton and Norfolk), the two extra islands (Barbados and Efa) and the hidden treasure island (your final destination). You'll visit all the main islands throughout the story. You can buy the map to Barbados for 300 gold (on Breton), and the map to Efa for 700 gold (on Norfolk).

Dungeon Crawler
Fought through all dungeons and arenas.

Dungeons contain a random assortment of enemies you can kill for gold and experience. Unlike the previous game (Braveland Wizard) where you could grind these dungeons indefinitely, in Braveland Pirate they will eventually run out of monsters.

There are three dungeons in total – on Tortuga, Breton, and Barbados. You just need to enter each dungeon at least once for the achievement.

Greed
Rejected the Iron Bank's offer.

After defeating the guards in front of the Iron Bank on Breton, the bankers will offer you 1000 gold as a payoff. If you refuse, you will face a virtually impossible battle against a throng of Infernals. Fortunately, you'll get the achievement before fighting them, meaning you don't actually have to win.

Chronicler
Have answered all the questions of the sages.

The sages are located in a sand cave on the island of Efa. They will ask you three questions about the previous Braveland game. You must answer all three correctly for the achievement (and a high-level item as a reward):
  • What is the name of the famous sorceress of the Academy of Magic who saved the northern lands? – Diana
  • Who helped the sorceress in her travels? – Humble monks
  • How many schools of magic did the famous sorceress command? – Three

Sea Wolf
Have overcome 25 random encounters in the sea.

Whenever you sail between the islands, there will be exactly one random encounter at some point during your trip. It's important to note that you'll have to fight and win at least one battle on any island between each encounter (dungeon battles don't count in this case). This means you can't just go sailing around and having multiple random encounters in a row.

These encounters are basically just random events which include meeting other ships, finding floating treasure chests, messages in bottles or shipwrecked survivors. These events can be beneficial (such as plundering a defenseless merchant ship) or harmful (such as rescuing a survivor who turns out to be a thief) or useless (like the messages in bottles).

Pig in a Poke
Obtained the old man's artefact in the sea.

This is a special random encounter (see Sea Wolf). You will meet an old man in a boat who will offer you a random item for 400 gold after you rescue him. Since this encounter can be quite rare, I suggest always having at least 400 gold available whenever you go out sailing so you don't miss out on the opportunity to buy the item.

To Arms!
Have won 150 battles.

Self-explanatory. This does not have to be done on a single playthrough (likely not even possible).

True Mercenary
Fulfilled all the assassination contracts.

To start a contract, you must first find a member of the Shadow Guild on the island and talk to him. You will be given a task of killing a group of enemies. These enemies are non-hostile until you accept the contract, at which point you can attack them. You will get a reward (an item or talent points) on completion of a contract.

There are four contracts in total – on Breton, Barbados, Norfolk, and Efa.

Peacemaker
Rejected all the assassination contracts.

Earned by finding and talking to all the Shadow Guild members and turning down their contracts. There is no penalty for doing so (other than being unable to attack the intended target, obviously). You will receive a high-level item after you reject all the contracts. This achievement and True Mercenary are mutually exclusive since there is no way to get both of them in a single playthrough.
Conclusion
That's it. I hope this guide has been useful.

Thanks for reading.

Good luck and have fun playing!

In case author is still alive, you can add info, that by defeating infernals after the greed achievement, there is nothing. No text, no hidden eastern egg. Took me smth like 20 tries to make it on hard, and once I finally did it, it was a major disapoitment.

All you get, is some cash, based on the infernals army size, but not even a single line of text

hey jason, have you managed to get that achievement?
Don't know if there is some best/optimal strategy, there have to be some better then mine.
I personally went for third skills tree to be able to have better squad (i used cooks, cannonners, pirates and thugs), took only healing*2 from first and as much courage as possible.
I'm "safety first" person, i played healers in mmos so that matched my personality - tanking and healing :lunar2020gigglemonkey: (and protecting aoe/shooters)
Don't know if it fits yours.
Gear focused on leadership, I went for mercenary achievment during hard run (better gear and bonus talent points as reward), have no problem with any fight, ( except last mercenary's one with
3 shooters and 2 groups of coverting guys) but final battle was challange, i beat it on first try, byt it was so-so ...
