(Updated) Change Avatar Project Time (Lengthen Game Time)

This guide will help you lengthen how many ticks the avatar project has so you can play at your own pace and enjoy it.

How to: (Base game)
Go to the game install directory: Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config. (Will look something like this)

Open the DefaultGameData.ini

Look for:
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[0]=0 ;Easy
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[0]=?????
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[1]=0 ;Normal
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[1]=?????
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[2]=0 ;Classic
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[2]=?????
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[3]=0 ;Impossible
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[3]=?????

Replace the "?????" with however many ticks you want the avatar project to take before the doom countdown starts. The default is 12. The higher the number, the longer you have to play at a steady pace and enjoy the game. The lower, the more you're rushed.

I wouldn't recommend going above 9999.

With WOTC, setting this too high may cause lag on the world map. They never fixed this issue. Don't blame me, I am just warning you in advance so you're aware of it. I didn't code the game in such a primitive way.

FAQ:

Does this work with an ongoing game?
-Yes.

Do I need to do anything else to make this work?
-No.

It causes lag on the world map screen.
-Lower the amount a bit. Don't make the number too high. Probably 9999 at the most.
